The prestigious Thakur Vedram International and National Awards will be presented on April 21, 2026, marking the birth anniversary of the late Thakur Vedram, a prominent figure known for promoting the cooperative and handloom sectors at both national and international levels.<\/p>\n

The announcement was made by Thakur Satya Prakash, Chairman of Bhuttico and head of the award selection committee. He stated that the awards aim to honor distinguished individuals from India and abroad for their exceptional contributions across various fields. The award ceremony will take place at Bhuttico Auditorium of Bhutti colony in Kullu district at 11:00 AM.<\/p>\n

For the year 2025\u201326, the awardees have been selected in multiple categories:<\/p>\n

International Award in Cooperative Sector will be conferred upon W. U. Harath from Sri Lanka for his global contribution to the cooperative movement.<\/p>\n

National Awards in Cooperative Sector will be presented to Subhash Chand Arya (Nagaur, Rajasthan) and Karnail Rana,\u00a0 former chairman of Himccofed Nurpur Kangra for their significant work in strengthening cooperative institutions.<\/p>\n

In the Handloom\/Weaving Sector, awards will go to Vishwanath Summa, Jugat Ram, and Raju for their outstanding achievements and contributions.<\/p>\n

The Literature Award will be given to Ganesh Gani Bhardwaj.<\/p>\n

In the Electronic Media Category, Sanjeev Sharma, Editor of the digital edition of Hindi daily Savera (Jalandhar), will be honored.<\/p>\n

The Print Media Award will be awarded to Bavinder Vashishth, Editor Amar Ujala in Himachal.<\/p>\n

The Purohit Chander Shekhar Memorial National Folk Literature Award will be conferred upon Dr Hemender Wali, Kumarsain Shimla.<\/p>\n

The Chand Kullvi Lal Chand Prarthi National Award for Pahari Art, Culture, and Heritage will go to Savita Sehgal of Sirmaur.<\/p>\n

The Thakur Maulu Ram National Award for Pahari Language and Literature will be presented to Yatin Pandit.<\/p>\n

Lifetime Achievement National Awards will be given to Rajender Rajan of Hamirpur and Dr Kamla Saini Rattu in recognition of their lifelong contributions.<\/p>\n

The awards ceremony is organized by Bhuttico, a cooperative institution dedicated to promoting traditional handloom crafts. The event is expected to bring together notable personalities from various fields, celebrating excellence and preserving cultural and cooperative values.<\/p>\n
