BJP chief spokesperson and MLA from Sundernagar in Mandi district Rakesh Jamwal said that the upcoming Panchayat elections in Himachal Pradesh are a \u201csemi-final of a change in power\u201d and claimed that the people are ready to give a strong response to the ruling Congress government.<\/p>\n

He said the recent victories of the BJP in three states show that public trust in Prime Minister Narendra Modi\u2019s leadership remains strong, while the Congress party has been rejected by voters for spreading confusion and negative politics.<\/p>\n

Jamwal also targeted Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, calling them \u201cstar campaigners for BJP,\u201d as he alleged that wherever they go, the Congress performs poorly. He also questioned the Congress for raising doubts over Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs), asking whether the party accepts its own past victories.<\/p>\n

He accused the state government of delaying Panchayat elections and weakening democratic institutions. According to him, the government tried to postpone elections using disaster-related reasons, while normal administrative work continued.<\/p>\n

Jamwal further alleged that funds meant for Panchayats and development schemes have been reduced or stopped, affecting rural development. He claimed that several election promises, including financial aid for women, free electricity, and welfare schemes, remain unfulfilled.<\/p>\n

He said health services have also worsened, forcing people to spend heavily on treatment. Calling the Panchayat elections a semi-final, he said the final verdict will come later, and predicted a change in the state government.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
