She added that significant progress has been made this year in reopening both the Baralacha and Shinkula passes for vehicular traffic, calling it a major achievement for the region.<\/p>\n<p>To ensure safe travel, the police department has been directed to maintain strict traffic management and continuous monitoring along the entire stretch. Authorities have also been instructed to provide immediate assistance in case of emergencies.<\/p>\n<p>The reopening of the Darcha\u2013Sarchu road is expected to provide a major boost to tourism activities in the tribal district. Every year, with the opening of the Manali\u2013Leh highway, a large number of tourists travel through Lahaul towards Leh, benefiting local businesses including hotels, homestays, dhabas, taxi operators, and shopkeepers.<\/p>\n<p>Officials stated that timely restoration of road connectivity is crucial for the economy of Lahaul-Spiti, which has a limited tourism season due to harsh climatic conditions.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the District Disaster Management Authority has appealed to tourists, drivers, and the general public to check weather updates and daily travel advisories issued by the district administration before commencing their journey.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Darcha\u2013Sarchu Road Reopened for Light Vehicles;
