Marking the occasion of World Blood Donor Day, the Himalayan Blood Donors Organization organized a voluntary blood donation camp at Dev Bala Kameshwar Temple, Gagal (Balh) in Mandi district. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from local residents and voluntary blood donors committed to the noble cause of saving lives through blood donation.<\/p>\n

Among the donors was Amar Jeet Sharma, a Senior Laboratory Technician in the Health Department, who achieved a remarkable milestone by donating blood for the 56th time. His dedication to voluntary blood donation has made him a role model in the community and an inspiration for many aspiring donors.<\/p>\n

Speaking on the occasion, Sharma emphasized that \u201cBlood donation is the greatest donation and there is no charity greater than saving a life.\u201d He shared that donating blood has given him immense satisfaction and a sense of fulfillment through social service. Over the years, he has not only donated blood 56 times but has also independently organized 14 blood donation camps, encouraging others to participate in this life-saving mission.<\/p>\n

Addressing common misconceptions, Sharma stated that blood donation does not cause weakness in healthy individuals. He explained that any healthy person between the ages of 18 and 65 years can donate blood. According to him, the human body replenishes the donated blood within 24 hours to seven days, making blood donation a safe and beneficial practice.<\/p>\n

He appealed to the public to come forward in larger numbers and contribute to such noble causes. \u201cEvery donation can save precious lives, and more people should participate in blood donation drives,\u201d he said. Sharma also expressed that helping people in need has always been a source of happiness and motivation for him.<\/p>\n

In recognition of his outstanding contribution to society and voluntary blood donation, Sharma has been honored on several occasions by prominent leaders, including former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, former ministers Kaul Singh Thakur, Gulab Singh Thakur, Rajeev Bindal, and local MLA Anil Sharma.<\/p>\n

Sharma reaffirmed his commitment to continue supporting humanitarian and social welfare activities as long as he remains healthy. He also extended his gratitude to the Himalayan Blood Donors Organization for regularly organizing such meaningful initiatives and promoting awareness about voluntary blood donation.<\/p>\n

The medical superintendent of zonal hospital Mandi, Dr. Dinesh Thakur, congratulated Amar Jeet Sharma for his exceptional service and dedication to this noble cause. He praised Sharma\u2019s contribution and encouraged more people to follow his example in helping save lives through regular blood donation.<\/p>\n
