Himachal Pradesh Sends 37-Member Team for Senior National Pencak Silat Championship in Meghalaya.<\/h1>\n

The Himachal Pradesh Pencak Silat Association has dispatched a 37-member contingent to participate in the Senior National Pencak Silat Martial Arts Championship, which will be held from July 5 to July 8 in Shillong, Meghalaya. The prestigious national event is being organized by the Meghalaya Pencak Silat Association under the aegis of the Indian Pencak Silat Federation.<\/p>\n

Sharing the information, Joginder Singh Azad, President of the Himachal Pradesh Pencak Silat Association, said that the state team departed from Mandi on July 3 with high hopes of delivering an impressive performance at the national championship.<\/p>\n

The Himachal Pradesh contingent comprises 37 athletes, including 20 male and 17 female players, representing four districts of the state\u2014Mandi, Bilaspur, Kangra, and Sirmaur. The athletes will compete across various weight categories in the senior division against participants from across the country.<\/p>\n

The state team is being led by Joginder Singh Azad, while Rakesh Kumar from Mandi district has been appointed as the team coach and will represent Himachal Pradesh in the coaching staff.<\/p>\n
