According to the announcement, Iraq and Syria share the objective of reconnecting Iraqi oil production to Mediterranean export markets through the restored pipeline, improving regional energy connectivity and expanding access to international markets.<\/p>\n<p>A U.S.-led international consortium will oversee the technical and financial implementation of the project.
