Balh MLA Inder Singh Gandhi called on the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh at the Chief Minister’s residence in Shimla on Tuesday and discussed a wide range of important public welfare issues and development projects concerning the Balh Assembly constituency in Mandi district.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, Gandhi expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister for the decision to retain the Government Senior Secondary School (Girls), Bhangrotu, and the Government Primary School, Banaun (Education Block Rewalsar), in their existing form. He said the decision reflects the sentiments and aspirations of students, parents, and local residents, and would help ensure continuity in quality education for children in the area.<\/p>\n

The MLA also submitted a memorandum requesting that Ward No. 14 (Behnna) of the Mandi Municipal Corporation be removed from the municipal limits and restored to panchayat status, or alternatively be re-included in the panchayat area. He urged the Chief Minister to consider the demand positively, stating that it reflects the aspirations of local residents.<\/p>\n

Another major issue raised during the meeting was the restoration of the Bhangrotu ground. Gandhi informed the Chief Minister that the ground had been used during the COVID-19 pandemic for the construction of a COVID Care Centre and a makeshift hospital. With the emergency no longer in place, he requested that the land be handed back to the Government Senior Secondary School, Bhangrotu, as a playground. He said the restoration of the ground would provide much-needed sports infrastructure for students, youth, and aspiring athletes from the region.<\/p>\n

The MLA further urged the Chief Minister to expedite several long-pending and stalled development works across the Balh Assembly constituency under various government departments. He emphasized the need to accelerate infrastructure development, including drinking water supply schemes, road construction and maintenance, drainage systems, and other essential civic amenities to improve the quality of life for residents.<\/p>\n

The Chief Minister gave a patient hearing to all the issues raised during the meeting and assured Gandhi that each demand would be examined with a positive approach. He also assured that necessary action would be taken and that development works and public welfare initiatives in the constituency would be given due priority.<\/p>\n

Expressing confidence after the meeting, Inder Singh Gandhi thanked the Chief Minister for his positive response and said he believes that with the support of the state government, development activities in the Balh Assembly constituency will gain fresh momentum and long-pending public issues will be resolved at the earliest.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
