Himachal Pradesh Education Minister Rohit Thakur today performed the Bhoomi Pujan for the upgradation work of the Badvi\u2013Garawg link road in Garawg Panchayat of Kotkhai subdivision in Shimla district, describing the project as a significant milestone for the region.<\/p>\n

Addressing the gathering, Thakur said that the strengthening and upgradation of the road would provide better, safer and more convenient transportation facilities to residents of Badvi as well as the villages of Shaun, Shoshan, Padsholi and Grei. The improved road connectivity would also provide permanent relief to local residents facing difficulties in daily commuting, he said.<\/p>\n

Thakur emphasised that better road infrastructure is essential for the socio-economic development of rural areas and assured that efforts would continue to improve connectivity and basic facilities in the region.<\/p>\n

Participates in Tree Plantation Drive at Kharapathar<\/h4>\n

Earlier, on the occasion of the 77th State-Level Van Mahotsav, Education Minister Rohit Thakur participated in a tree plantation programme organised at Kharapathar.<\/p>\n

During the programme, Thakur, along with senior officials of the Forest Department, local public representatives and dedicated workers of the Congress party, planted deodar saplings.<\/p>\n

Speaking on the occasion, he stressed that protecting the environment and maintaining the green character of Himachal Pradesh is a collective moral responsibility. He urged people to plant more trees and ensure their proper protection and survival.<\/p>\n

Thakur called upon the people to collectively work towards environmental conservation and sustainable development, highlighting the importance of preserving the state’s rich natural heritage for future generations.<\/p>\n
