CM Sukhu Dedicates 31 Development Projects Worth Rs. 475 Crore in Ghumarwin Assembly Constituency.<\/h1>\n

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Friday inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for 31 development projects worth approximately Rs. 475 crore at Dadhol in the Ghumarwin Assembly constituency of Bilaspur district.<\/p>\n

The projects span key sectors including drinking water supply, healthcare, education, skill development, roads, sports infrastructure, tourism-related facilities, irrigation, electricity and public infrastructure. The large package of projects is aimed at strengthening basic amenities and accelerating development across the Ghumarwin constituency.<\/p>\n

Major Projects Inaugurated<\/h4>\n

The Chief Minister inaugurated the Rs. 4.56-crore retrofitting of the LWSS Kot Dehra Hatwar under the Jal Jeevan Mission, aimed at providing functional household tap connections to households that were left out of the existing water supply network.<\/p>\n

He also inaugurated the Rs. 4.17-crore replacement of rusted and choked distribution pipelines under various water supply schemes in the Ghumarwin constituency.<\/p>\n

In the education and skill development sector, Sukhu inaugurated the Rs. 6.45-crore Skill Development Centre, Ghumarwin, and the Rs. 2.52-crore building of PM Shri Government Senior Secondary School, Bharari.<\/p>\n

The healthcare sector received a major boost with the inauguration of the Rs. 9.38-crore IPD Block building at Civil Hospital, Ghumarwin.<\/p>\n

Several road projects were also dedicated to the public, including the Rs. 2.81-crore Barota-Demehar-Unda-Mihara link road, Rs. 7.42-crore upgradation of the Ropri-Mair-Haritalyangar and Targhel-Kursai-Chharter-Barota roads, and the Rs. 1.85-crore link road from NH-103 to Bhagrwan.<\/p>\n

The Chief Minister also inaugurated the Rs. 6.42-crore upgradation of the Targhel-Ladraur road and dedicated Rs. 72 crore for the repair of various roads under the Ghumarwin constituency.<\/p>\n

Foundation Stones Laid for Major New Projects<\/h4>\n

Sukhu laid the foundation stones for several major projects aimed at expanding infrastructure and creating new opportunities for residents.<\/p>\n

Among the projects was the Rs. 7.60-crore improvement and augmentation of the Lift Irrigation Scheme (LIS) Chhat Himmer in Ghumarwin tehsil.<\/p>\n

In the agriculture sector, the foundation stone was laid for a Farmers Interaction Centre Hall at Bharari, to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 56 lakh.<\/p>\n

The Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone for the Rs. 34.44-crore expansion of ITI Ghumarwin, along with a Rs. 7.49-crore CBT Centre and a Rs. 12-crore Skill Academy building.<\/p>\n

A Rajiv Gandhi Government Model Day Boarding School building at Hatwar, estimated to cost Rs. 29.43 crore, was also included in the foundation-stone projects.<\/p>\n

Major Push for Sports Infrastructure<\/h4>\n

The development package also includes significant investments in sports facilities. Foundation stones were laid for a Rs. 3.67-crore Sports Club in Ghumarwin, a Rs. 3-crore Sports Stadium at Bharari, and a Rs. 2-crore Sports Stadium at Macchwan.<\/p>\n

These projects are expected to provide better sporting facilities to young people and encourage greater participation in sports and physical activities.<\/p>\n

Healthcare and Administrative Infrastructure<\/h4>\n

In the healthcare sector, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for a Rs. 8.53-crore multipurpose building at Civil Hospital, Ghumarwin, which is expected to strengthen the hospital’s infrastructure and service capacity.<\/p>\n

The foundation stone was also laid for a Rs. 7.62-crore commercial complex and Executive Engineer office building of HIMUDA, Ghumarwin.<\/p>\n

A Rs. 2.77-crore Tehsil Office building at Bharari was also included in the development package.<\/p>\n

Road, Tourism and Connectivity Projects<\/p>\n

Several major connectivity and infrastructure projects were also announced.<\/p>\n

The foundation stone was laid for the Rs. 13.51-crore upgradation of the Junala-Karloti-Chhat-Berthin road.<\/p>\n

One of the most significant projects is the proposed Rs. 103.31-crore bridge over the Sutlej River at Bhajwani, which is expected to strengthen connectivity and facilitate movement in the region.<\/p>\n

The government will also develop commercial facilities at Auhar on NH-154 at a cost of Rs. 15 crore. In addition, Rs. 93.52 crore has been earmarked for wayside amenities at Auhar under Phase-II.<\/p>\n

The Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone for a Rs. 48-lakh additional accommodation facility at the Forest Rest House, Nihari.<\/p>\n

Health, Power and Other Projects<\/h4>\n

The development package includes a Rs. 95-lakh Primary Health Centre at Lehri Sarail and a Rs. 5-crore Bal Ashram at Ghumarwin.<\/p>\n

In the energy and industrial infrastructure sectors, the foundation stone was laid for modernisation of machinery and installation of a new boiler at Bilaspur, estimated to cost Rs. 1.50 crore.<\/p>\n

A further Rs. 5 crore has been earmarked for augmentation of the 33 KV Kangoo-Kandraur electrical line, aimed at strengthening the power infrastructure in the area.<\/p>\n

Boost to Sericulture and Farmer Support<\/h4>\n

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Sukhu said that Rs. 2.44 crore had been approved for farmers in the Ghumarwin subdivision of Bilaspur district under the Silk Samagra-2 scheme.<\/p>\n

Under the scheme, 100 silkworm-rearing houses have been approved for the area. Financial assistance of Rs. 1.85 lakh for each rearing house has been provided for eligible beneficiaries.<\/p>\n

The Chief Minister distributed cheques to 10 beneficiaries of the scheme during the programme.<\/p>\n

The extensive package of inaugurations and foundation stones represents a major investment in the Ghumarwin constituency, covering essential infrastructure as well as long-term development projects in education, healthcare, agriculture, roads, sports, skill development, irrigation, electricity and tourism.<\/p>\n

The projects are expected to improve public services, create new educational and employment opportunities, strengthen connectivity and provide better infrastructure for residents of Ghumarwin and surrounding areas.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
