The suspect, identified as Asif, was part of a three-member gang that allegedly impersonated police officers to commit the crime.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">According to senior police officers, the incident occurred on Monday evening inside Astha Kunj Park, located near the prominent Kalkaji Mandir. The victim was accosted by three men who posed as policemen under the guise of conducting a security check or inquiry, after which they subjected her to a gang-rape inside the park premises.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Following the victim&#8217;s complaint, multiple police teams were deployed to track down the perpetrators. Acting on specific intelligence, a team intercepted Asif near DM Office Road in the Amar Colony area early Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">When signaled to stop, the suspect opened fire on the police team, discharging three rounds in an attempt to evade capture. Police officers returned fire in self-defense, subsequently overpowering and arresting him at the scene.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Authorities have launched a widespread search operation to trace and apprehend the two remaining accomplices involved in the assault.
