CM Sukhu Dedicates Developmental Projects Worth Rs. 419.90 Crore in Bhatiyat.<\/h1>\n

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Wednesday inaugurated and laid foundation stones of 36 developmental projects worth Rs. 419.90 crore for Bhatiyat Assembly constituency of Chamba district during his one-day visit to the area.<\/p>\n

The projects, being implemented by the Jal Shakti and Public Works departments, are aimed at strengthening drinking water supply, sewerage infrastructure, flood protection measures and road connectivity in the constituency.<\/p>\n

Eight Jal Shakti Projects Inaugurated<\/h4>\n

The Chief Minister inaugurated eight major schemes of the Jal Shakti Department. These included the remodelling of the FIS Khagal-Sihunta at a cost of Rs. 5.42 crore and the Rs. 1.03-crore remodelling of LIS Sarna in Gram Panchayat Jatroon.<\/p>\n

He also inaugurated a lift water supply scheme worth Rs. 60.78 crore covering several villages under Gram Panchayats Bagdhar, Nagali, Dhalog, Mornu, Sudli, Cuhan, Nainifihad, Belly, Balera, Jiunta, Tunniuhatti, Mail, Samleo, Tappar, Padhortu, Manola, Ruliyani, Osal, Bathri and Sherpur, among others.<\/p>\n

Other inaugurated projects included a sewerage scheme for Chowari town costing Rs. 19.19 crore; flood protection works for Jatroon, Trimath and Saloh villages worth Rs. 4.19 crore; and flood protection works for Motla village costing Rs. 1.74 crore.<\/p>\n

The remaining projects were a groundwater-based water supply scheme for Samote and adjoining villages worth Rs. 11.61 crore, and a lift water supply scheme for Sarna, Saloh, Chulari and adjoining areas costing Rs. 1.71 crore.<\/p>\n

Two additional Jal Shakti projects were also inaugurated. These included a lift water supply scheme for Kakira Kasba, Gahar, Parchhore and adjoining villages under NABARD, costing Rs. 37.52 crore, and augmentation and remodelling of the water supply scheme at Dangori under the Asian Development Bank (ADB), worth Rs. 8.81 crore.<\/p>\n

Foundation Stones of Seven Jal Shakti Projects Laid.<\/h4>\n

The Chief Minister laid foundation stones for seven Jal Shakti Department projects. These included a sewerage system for Sihunta and adjoining areas costing Rs. 31.46 crore, interception and diversion works under the Chowari sewerage scheme worth Rs. 3 crore, and improvement, augmentation and extension of various water supply schemes costing Rs. 34.07 crore.<\/p>\n

Other projects included remodelling of FIS Kalyana to Chhatrar, Khargat-I and Hatli at Rs. 6.08 crore; remodelling of FIS Dhullara, Sihunta-Motla and Betha at Rs. 7.89 crore; a firefighting system for Kakira and Chowari towns at Rs. 2.14 crore; and another firefighting system for Sihunta and Samote Kasba towns at Rs. 1.63 crore.<\/p>\n

Road and Bridge Projects Get a Boost<\/h4>\n

Under the Public Works Department, Sukhu inaugurated five road and bridge projects. These included the upgradation of Chowari-Jot Road at a cost of Rs. 20.34 crore, Samote-Manhuta Road at Rs. 4.25 crore and Tundi-Dharoon Road at Rs. 6.18 crore.<\/p>\n

He also inaugurated the Balana-Gola Link Road, costing Rs. 6.25 crore, and a 25-metre-span bridge over Narellue Nallah on the Sihunta-Jolna Khas Road, built at a cost of Rs. 3.19 crore.<\/p>\n

The Chief Minister laid foundation stones for 14 additional PWD projects, including the Motla-Sukhiyar Road at Rs. 10.29 crore, Ghatasani Pull-Bhalog Road at Rs. 10.78 crore, Balana-Balli Road at Rs. 7.16 crore and Patka-Chhatrel Road at Rs. 21.15 crore.<\/p>\n

Other road projects included Transformer-Kallar Jolna Road (Rs. 8.19 crore), Baddraman-Banoli Road (Rs. 5.66 crore), Kahri-Rakhed Link Road (Rs. 20.48 crore), Mortu-Jolna Road (Rs. 8.46 crore), link roads to Marar (Rs. 5.42 crore) and Lower Mamal (Rs. 3.78 crore), Tullar-Kudera Link Road (Rs. 4.38 crore) and a link road to Dharwai village (Rs. 3.98 crore).<\/p>\n

The remaining two projects were the construction of a new PWD Circuit House at Chowari, costing Rs. 9.68 crore, and a combined office building at Sihunta, estimated at Rs. 21.99 crore.<\/p>\n

The projects are expected to improve basic infrastructure and provide better road connectivity, drinking water facilities, sewerage services and protection against floods in different parts of the Bhatiyat constituency.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
