Speaking in New Delhi, Singh reiterated India&#8217;s commitment to a rule-based international order and peaceful dispute resolution.<\/p>\n<p>Highlighting Prime Minister Narendra Modi&#8217;s vision of SAGAR (Security and Growth for All in the Region), Singh stated that India is now recognized as a credible security partner and first responder in the Indo-Pacific. He underscored the importance of ASEAN in promoting regional stability and cooperation.<\/p>\n<p>Singh discussed the strategic significance of the Indo-Pacific as a dynamic geopolitical zone, acknowledging the challenges posed by shifting power dynamics and resource competition. He expressed concern over the &#8220;tragedy of the commons,&#8221; urging the international community to unite for sustainable management of shared global resources.<\/p>\n<p>Emphasizing the need for collective action, he stated, \u201cThe emergence of the Indo-Pacific reflects a balancing of global power, and India\u2019s maritime policy seeks collective prosperity.\u201d The Defense Minister also released the book \u2018Maritime India: Temporal and Spatial Continuum\u2019 during the event.<\/p>\n<p>Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi and other military leaders joined the dialogue, which aims to advance the Indo-Pacific Oceans Initiative.
