Indian Navy’s First Training Squadron Engages with Bahrain and UAE to Strengthen Naval Cooperation.<\/h1>\n

Continuing its Long Range Training Deployment in the Persian Gulf, the Indian Navy’s First Training Squadron (1TS), consisting of INS Tir and ICGS Veera, arrived at the Port of Manama, Bahrain on October 12, 2024. This visit aims to enhance naval cooperation and interoperability with the Royal Bahrain Naval Forces (RBNF).<\/p>\n

During their stay, the Indian Navy plans to engage in a variety of activities, including professional interactions, cross-ship visits, joint training sessions, yoga classes, band concerts, friendly sports matches, and community welfare initiatives. Sea trainees will also visit various training facilities and establishments of the RBNF.<\/p>\n

A key highlight of the visit will be a coordination meeting to plan a Maritime Partnership Exercise, reinforcing maritime security in the region through collaborative engagement with partners of the Combined Maritime Forces (CMF).<\/p>\n

In addition, INS Shardul of the 1TS has made a port visit to Port Rashid, Dubai, where it was warmly received by the Defence Attach\u00e9 of the Indian Embassy and officials from the UAE Navy. This visit will also include multiple training activities and harbor interactions with the UAE Navy.<\/p>\n

The deployment to Bahrain and the UAE not only exposes Indian sea trainees to essential naval training activities but also strengthens socio-political, military, and maritime ties between India and these Gulf nations. This mission underscores the growing defense relations and maritime security cooperation between India, Bahrain, and the UAE, fostering enhanced synergy among their naval forces.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
