The accused, identified as 27-year-old Kulveer from Uttar Pradesh, was arrested following a complaint from a former military officer.<\/p>\n<p>According to Manmohan Singh, Additional Superintendent of Police, the case revolves around Kulveer&#8217;s alleged involvement in a digital extortion scheme. He misled the victim into believing he was facing severe legal issues linked to counterfeit passports and narcotics, resulting in the transfer of funds.<\/p>\n<p>Kulveer, a graduate, had been on the run for five months, frequently changing locations to evade authorities. His arrest was facilitated by technical surveillance and intelligence reports.<\/p>\n<p>The ASP noted that similar cases have been reported against Kulveer in other states, and collaboration with respective police departments is underway.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities are advising the public to refrain from engaging with unknown callers and to promptly report any threats or extortion attempts related to digital arrests.
