This initiative took place in conjunction with a gathering of players, marking a gesture of appreciation for Thakur\u2019s longstanding support for sports.<\/p>\n<p>Raja Singh Malhotra, President of the District Hockey Association, emphasized Thakur&#8217;s significant contributions to promoting sports and player welfare. &#8220;We decided to celebrate his birthday with the players and provide them with essential gear,&#8221; Malhotra stated, expressing hopes for continued support from Thakur in the future.<\/p>\n<p>Players and coaches expressed their gratitude, with Mandi District Hockey Team captain Sonia noting that many players lacked tracksuits before this initiative. &#8220;Now, we can benefit from these during practice,&#8221;
