National Homoeopathy Research Institute in Mental Health (NHRIMH) in Kottaya\u00a0marks 50 years of pioneering research and advancements in Homoeopathy for mental health.<\/h3>\n

The National Homoeopathy Research Institute in Mental Health (NHRIMH), Kottayam, celebrated its Golden Jubilee with a two-day National Conference on Homoeopathy in Mental Health held on 23-24 December 2024. Organized by the Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy (CCRH), under the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, the event brought together experts in mental health and Homoeopathy to discuss the integration of alternative medicine in mental health care.<\/p>\n

The event was inaugurated virtually by Prataprao Jadhav, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Ayush, who congratulated NHRIMH on its remarkable journey. In his video message, Jadhav acknowledged the institute’s significant contributions to Homoeopathy, especially in the field of mental health, highlighting the importance of continued research and advancements in the discipline.<\/p>\n

The conference, themed \u2018Optimizing the Role of Homoeopathy in Promoting Mental Health\u2019, featured a diverse range of panel discussions, lectures, and brainstorming sessions. Experts from premier research institutes across India gathered to deliberate on strategies for the integration of Homoeopathy into national mental health interventions. The discussions also aimed to highlight the minimal side effects of Homoeopathy and its potential to support mental health care.<\/p>\n

Dr. Subhash Kaushik, Director General of CCRH, delivered the welcome address, outlining the contributions of NHRIMH in research, patient care, and postgraduate education. He expressed gratitude to the delegates and honored the institute’s founder.<\/p>\n

Kodikunnil Suresh, Member of Parliament (Mavelikkara, Kerala), lauded the government’s support for NHRIMH, including the release of INR 400 crores for the construction of a new hospital block. He also emphasized the need for greater public awareness about the institute’s services. Dr. Anil Khurana, Chairman of the National Commission for Homoeopathy, and Dr. Sangeeta Duggal, Advisor (Homoeopathy), Ministry of Ayush, were also present as guest speakers.<\/p>\n

The conference sessions covered a variety of topics such as \u2018Mind and Homoeopathy: An Inseparable Bond\u2019, \u2018Molecular Mechanism of Antiviral and Anti-Inflammatory Activity in Homoeopathy\u2019, and \u2018Role of Homoeopathic Psychiatry in Expanding Mental Health Care\u2019. Eminent speakers included Dr. Kishore Kumar from NIMHANS, Dr. Shashikant Tiwari from CCRH, Dr. Shailendra K. Saxena from King George’s Medical University, and others.<\/p>\n

A key highlight was the panel discussion on \u2018Roadmap for Integrative Approaches in Mental Health\u2019, featuring top professionals from across the field, including Dr. Anil Khurana and Dr. Subhash Kaushik.<\/p>\n

The event attracted a wide range of delegates, including researchers, students, practitioners, and industry leaders. Case report presentations and competitions also took place during the conference, fostering innovation and collaboration in Homoeopathic research.<\/p>\n
