Tejaswini Singh, a rising star from Madhdhar village in the Kotmors Gram Panchayat of Mandi district, has been selected for the National Republic Day Camp (RDC) in Delhi. A proud member of the Himachal Pradesh Air Squadron from Kullu, Tejaswini is the sole cadet chosen from the Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and Chandigarh directorates under the esteemed “Best Cadet” category.<\/p>\n

A Family Legacy of NCC Excellence<\/p>\n

Tejaswini’s selection is a continuation of a proud family legacy steeped in NCC tradition. Her grandfather, Gurusai Singh, and father, Flying Officer Dr. Chaman Lal Kranti Singh, were both prominent NCC cadets and Senior Under Officers. Currently, her father serves as an Associate NCC Officer at the Himachal Pradesh Air Squadron, Kullu, and heads the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at Vallabh Government College, Mandi. Her mother, Sharmila Singh, is an AYUSH Pharmacy Officer.<\/p>\n

As a Class 10 student at DAV Centenary Public School in Mandi, Tejaswini has demonstrated outstanding performance across various disciplines, earning her the title of “Best Cadet” from the Himachal Pradesh and Punjab directorates. Tejaswini credits her success to the support of several key figures, including Wing Commander Kunal Sharma, Commanding Officer of Himachal Pradesh Air Squadron NCC, Kullu, her father Flying Officer Dr. Chaman, Caretaker Officer Suman Pandit, Principal Kuldeep Guleria of DAV Centenary Public School, and the NCC officers and instructors at the NCC Academy, Rupnagar.<\/p>\n

She has represented Himachal Pradesh in national-level Taekwondo competitions in Panipat and has earned multiple medals in state-level competitions, including gold and silver in Pencak Silat, Taekwondo, and Judo Karate. She also holds a Blue Belt in Karate and has earned a bronze medal in state-level shooting competitions.<\/p>\n
