Union’s) Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Amit Shah, today launched the book \u2018Jammu Kashmir & Ladakh Through The Ages: A Visual Narrative of Continuities and Linkages\u2019 in New Delhi, emphasizing the importance of preserving and promoting the region’s historical and cultural heritage. The event saw the presence of dignitaries including Union Minister of Education Dharmender Pradhan and Prof. Raghuvendra Tanwar, Chairman of the Indian Council of Historical Research.<\/p>\n

In his address, Amit Shah highlighted the book\u2019s pivotal role in dismantling myths about Kashmir and presenting its history with truth and evidence. The Home Minister expressed that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the government is committed to reviving Kashmir\u2019s cultural heritage and will soon reclaim what has been lost over the years.<\/p>\n

Amit Shah stressed that India\u2019s identity is shaped not just by geopolitical boundaries, but by its deep cultural unity, which binds regions like Kashmir, Kanyakumari, Bengal, and Gujarat. He pointed out that this book firmly establishes Kashmir\u2019s cultural, spiritual, and historical significance, reinforcing its integral connection with India. He also addressed the myth of separatism fostered by Article 370, stating that the abrogation of this article has drastically reduced terrorism in the region and paved the way for Kashmir\u2019s full integration with the nation.<\/p>\n

The Home Minister noted the significant development achieved since the removal of Article 370, citing improvements in infrastructure, education, and the restoration of peace in the region. He pointed out that the region has witnessed unprecedented developments, including a reduction in terrorist incidents by over 70%, the establishment of educational institutions like IITs and IIMs, and increased tourism, with a record 2 crore 11 lakh visitors to Kashmir in 2023.<\/p>\n

Amit Shah concluded by affirming that Kashmir\u2019s rich legacy, spanning thousands of years, will continue to thrive as an inseparable part of India\u2019s soul. He quoted Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee, stating that Jammu and Kashmir is not just part of India, but an essential part of the nation\u2019s very essence.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
