Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu was greeted with great enthusiasm and traditional fervor upon his arrival in the remote Pangi Valley of Chamba district on Monday. Touching down at the Dharwas helipad, the Chief Minister was warmly welcomed by local residents dressed in traditional attire, alongside panchayat representatives and senior officials.<\/p>\n

As part of his visit to the tribal region, CM Sukhu assured the public of the government\u2019s unwavering commitment to the development of far-flung and inaccessible areas like Pangi. Addressing the concerns raised by locals, he emphasized that their issues would be resolved on priority.<\/p>\n

In a major boost for local women\u2019s empowerment initiatives, the Chief Minister announced Rs. 25 lakh each for the construction of Mahila Mandal Bhawans<\/strong> in Dharwas and Lunj<\/strong>. He further allocated Rs. 10 lakh<\/strong> to expedite the completion of another women\u2019s center in Lunj, and Rs. 1 lakh each for three Mahila Mandals<\/strong> to procure essential equipment.<\/p>\n

Highlighting the government’s focus on sustainable energy, CM Sukhu encouraged residents to establish solar power plants on private land<\/strong>. He detailed the interest subsidy scheme under which:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • 5% interest subsidy<\/strong> will be provided for solar projects between 250 KW to 1 MW in tribal areas<\/strong>,<\/li>\n
  • 4% interest subsidy<\/strong> for similar projects in non-tribal areas<\/strong>, and<\/li>\n
  • 3% interest subsidy<\/strong> for projects exceeding 1 MW capacity<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    \u201cThe state government is taking every possible step to ensure energy independence and sustainable growth, especially in the tribal belts,\u201d the Chief Minister stated.<\/p>\n

    CM Sukhu is scheduled to stay overnight in Killar and will preside over the state-level Himachal Day celebrations<\/strong> on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

    The visit was also marked by the presence of Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania<\/strong>, MLA Sunder Thakur<\/strong>, Himachal Pradesh State Cooperative Bank Chairman Devender Shyam<\/strong>, CM\u2019s OSD Ritesh Capret<\/strong>, APMC Chamba Chairman Lalit Thakur<\/strong>, Congress leader Surjit Bharmauri<\/strong>, along with Deputy Commissioner Mukesh Repaswal<\/strong>, SP Abhishek Yadav<\/strong>, panchayat representatives, and other senior government officials.<\/p>\n
