In the wake of recent national security developments, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today chaired a high-level meeting with Secretaries of various Ministries and Departments at the Prime Minister’s Office to review the country\u2019s preparedness and inter-ministerial coordination.<\/p>\n

The meeting focused on assessing the operational readiness of key government functions and strengthening coordination among ministries to maintain national security and public safety. Prime Minister Modi emphasized the importance of seamless inter-agency collaboration to ensure operational continuity and institutional resilience during times of crisis.<\/p>\n

Reviewing the current planning and preparedness across ministries, the Prime Minister directed officials to undertake a thorough evaluation of each ministry’s operations. He stressed the need for fool-proof functioning of essential systems, with particular focus on emergency response mechanisms, internal communication protocols, and public service continuity.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, Secretaries presented their strategies and readiness under a Whole of Government approach. Ministries have already identified key action points in response to the evolving security landscape and are actively enhancing their protocols and coordination frameworks.<\/p>\n

A broad spectrum of national security and preparedness issues were discussed, including:<\/p>\n

  • Strengthening of civil defence and emergency response systems<\/li>\n
  • Countering misinformation, fake news, and maintaining public trust<\/li>\n
  • Securing critical infrastructure and communication networks<\/li>\n
  • Ensuring robust coordination between central ministries, state governments, and ground-level agencies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Senior officials from the Prime Minister\u2019s Office, Cabinet Secretariat, and Secretaries from pivotal ministries \u2014 including Defence, Home Affairs, External Affairs, Information & Broadcasting, Power, Health, and Telecommunications \u2014 were in attendance.<\/p>\n

    Concluding the meeting, Prime Minister Modi called for continued vigilance and institutional synergy. He reaffirmed the government\u2019s unwavering commitment to national security, operational preparedness, and the safety and well-being of citizens amid current challenges.<\/p>\n

    The government is expected to maintain heightened readiness as the situation continues to evolve, ensuring that all mechanisms remain agile, responsive, and unified.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
