Prime Minister Narendra Modi will embark on a high-impact two-day visit to Sikkim, West Bengal, Bihar, and Uttar Pradesh on 29th and 30th May 2025<\/strong>, to launch and inaugurate a series of infrastructure, energy, and public welfare projects worth over Rs 69,000 crore<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Day 1 \u2013 29th May 2025<\/strong><\/h3>\n

PM in Sikkim: Celebrating 50 Years of Statehood<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Prime Minister Modi will begin his visit in Sikkim<\/strong> by participating in \u201cSikkim@50: Where Progress Meets Purpose and Nature Nurtures Growth\u201d<\/strong> at 11:00 AM, commemorating five decades of the state’s formation. The event will showcase the theme \u201cSunaulo, Samriddha and Samarth Sikkim\u201d<\/strong>, highlighting the state’s journey of sustainability and development.<\/p>\n

Key highlights in Sikkim:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Foundation stone laid for<\/strong> a 500-bedded District Hospital<\/strong> in Namchi (worth over Rs 750 crore).<\/li>\n
  • Inauguration of Passenger Ropeway at Sangachoeling<\/strong>, Pelling.<\/li>\n
  • Unveiling of Statue of Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji<\/strong> at Sangkhola.<\/li>\n
  • Release of commemorative coin, souvenir coin, and stamp<\/strong> marking 50 years of Sikkim’s statehood.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    PM in West Bengal: Expanding Clean Energy Access<\/strong><\/h4>\n

    At 2:15 PM<\/strong>, PM Modi will visit Alipurduar<\/strong> in West Bengal<\/strong> to lay the foundation stone for the City Gas Distribution (CGD) Project<\/strong> in Alipurduar and Cooch Behar districts.<\/p>\n

    Key project details:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • Worth over Rs 1,010 crore<\/strong>, the CGD network will provide PNG to 2.5 lakh households<\/strong>, over 100 industries and commercial units<\/strong>, and establish 19 CNG stations<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    • Will drive green energy adoption<\/strong>, reduce carbon footprint, and generate local employment opportunities<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      PM in Bihar: Upgrading Air Connectivity<\/strong><\/h4>\n

      Later in the day, at 5:45 PM<\/strong>, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the new terminal building at Patna Airport<\/strong>, built at a cost of Rs 1,200 crore<\/strong> to handle 1 crore passengers annually<\/strong>. He will also lay the foundation stone for a new civil enclave at Bihta Airport<\/strong>, worth over Rs 1,410 crore<\/strong>, further strengthening Bihar\u2019s air connectivity.<\/p>\n

      Day 2 \u2013 30th May 2025<\/strong><\/h3>\n

      PM in Karakat, Bihar: Rs 48,520 Crore Infrastructure Blitz<\/strong><\/h4>\n

      At 11:00 AM<\/strong>, the Prime Minister will visit Karakat<\/strong> to launch and dedicate a record Rs 48,520 crore<\/strong> worth of infrastructure projects.<\/p>\n

      Major announcements include:<\/p>\n

        \n
      • Rs 29,930 crore Nabinagar Super Thermal Power Project<\/strong> (Stage-II, 3×800 MW), to bolster energy security in eastern India.<\/li>\n
      • Major national highway projects<\/strong>, including:\n
          \n
        • Four-laning of Patna\u2013Arrah\u2013Sasaram<\/strong> section.<\/li>\n
        • Six-laning of Varanasi\u2013Ranchi\u2013Kolkata<\/strong> highway and Ramnagar\u2013Kacchi Dargah<\/strong> stretch.<\/li>\n
        • New Ganga bridge<\/strong> between Buxar and Bharauli<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
        • Inauguration of four-laning of Patna\u2013Gaya\u2013Dobhi<\/strong> section (Rs 5,520 crore).<\/li>\n
        • Third rail line<\/strong> between Son Nagar\u2013Mohammad Ganj (Rs 1,330 crore), boosting rail capacity and connectivity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          PM in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh: Rs 20,900 Crore for Urban, Power, and Transport Projects<\/strong><\/h4>\n

          At 2:45 PM<\/strong>, the Prime Minister will arrive in Kanpur Nagar<\/strong>, Uttar Pradesh to launch a series of major development projects.<\/p>\n

          Highlights include:<\/p>\n

            \n
          • Inauguration of the Chunniganj to Kanpur Central stretch<\/strong> of the Kanpur Metro Rail Project<\/strong> (Rs 2,120 crore), featuring 14 stations and five underground links.<\/li>\n
          • Launch of 660 MW Panki Thermal Power Extension Project<\/strong> (Rs 8,300 crore) and Ghatampur Thermal Power Project<\/strong> (three 660 MW units worth Rs 9,330 crore).<\/li>\n
          • New 132 kV substations<\/strong> in Ecotech-8 and 10, and a 220 kV substation<\/strong> in YEIDA, Greater Noida to meet power demands.<\/li>\n
          • Inauguration of a 40 MLD tertiary sewage treatment plant<\/strong> at Bingawan (Rs 290 crore) to promote wastewater reuse and sustainability<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
          • Widening of industrial and defence corridor roads<\/strong>, including Gauria Pali Marg and Narwal Mode\u2013Kanpur Defence Node road.<\/li>\n
          • Inauguration of rail overbridges<\/strong> at Panki to improve traffic flow and logistics for the power sector.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            The Prime Minister will also distribute certificates and cheques<\/strong> to beneficiaries under flagship schemes such as PM Ayushman Vay Vandana Yojana<\/strong>, National Livelihood Mission<\/strong>, and PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
