BJP National President and Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda<\/strong> reaffirmed the unwavering commitment of the Central Government to the people of Himachal Pradesh<\/strong>, stating that financial support and disaster relief remain top priorities<\/strong> for the Union Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

On his visit to the rain-ravaged areas of Mandi district<\/strong>, including Nachan, Pangliur, Baga, Sainj<\/strong>, and Thunag<\/strong>, Nadda inspected the devastation caused by torrential rains and landslides. He met with affected families, including Pushp Raj and Tilak Raj<\/strong>, who tragically lost their parents in the recent disaster. Nadda also visited temporary relief camps housing displaced individuals and assessed the conditions and ongoing aid efforts.<\/p>\n

Nadda, who shares a deep connection with Himachal Pradesh as a native and former minister in the state, emphasized that his commitment to the welfare of the region is both personal and political. \u201cI have always stood with Himachal Pradesh, and as the representative of the Central Government, I assure you that the Government of India will never leave Himachal in times of crisis<\/strong>,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n

Recalling past support, Nadda said, \u201cDuring the 2023 disaster, I visited Himachal three times and ensured Rs. 3,146 crore<\/strong> in aid from the Centre. This year again, under PM Modi\u2019s leadership, Rs. 2,006 crore<\/strong> has already been released under the NDRF, bringing the total disaster relief to Rs. 5,152 crore<\/strong> in just two years.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Highlighting the scale of ongoing support, he said the Centre has also approved over 1 lakh houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana<\/strong> and more than Rs. 3,000 crore<\/strong> worth of roads under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana<\/strong> for Himachal.<\/p>\n

Addressing a gathering in Mandi, Nadda asserted, \u201cWhen disaster strikes, BJP is always the first to respond. We mobilized food, shelter, and essential supplies rapidly with the help of party workers and local volunteers. Service centers were established with public support across the state to ensure swift assistance.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

He added that the BJP is not merely offering political rhetoric but has taken concrete action in relief and rehabilitation efforts. “Other political parties talk, but the BJP delivers,\u201d he said, noting that the first wave of organized relief in this tragedy came from BJP’s ground teams<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Nadda\u2019s visit, accompanied by Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur<\/strong> and BJP State President Rajeev Bindal<\/strong>, was both a review of administrative measures and a morale boost for disaster-hit families. The leaders also urged the state machinery to continue acting swiftly and transparently.<\/p>\n

Concluding his visit, Nadda once again reiterated the Central Government\u2019s support: \u201cHimachal\u2019s people can rest assured that the Modi Government stands firmly with them now and always<\/strong>. As a representative of the Centre, I take this as my solemn responsibility.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
