President of India, Droupadi Murmu, interacted with probationers of the Indian Defence Estates Service (IDES), Military Engineer Services (MES), and Central Water Engineering Service (CWES) at Rashtrapati Bhavan today. Addressing the future administrators and engineers, the President urged them to become drivers of technological innovation, environmental stewardship, and self-reliant development in their respective fields.<\/p>\n

Harnessing Technology in Governance: Message to IDES Officers<\/h4>\n

Speaking to the officers of the Indian Defence Estates Service, President Murmu highlighted the importance of embracing emerging technologies in the management and modernization of defence estates. She emphasized that tools like Artificial Intelligence, drone-based land surveys, satellite imagery, and blockchain for maintaining property records are no longer futuristic\u2014they are becoming essential components of governance.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is your duty to stay ahead of the curve and integrate these digital solutions into your daily functioning,\u201d the President said. She further advised the officers to champion green practices in infrastructure development, including renewable energy use, waste reduction, and water conservation, especially within cantonment areas.<\/p>\n

Building Responsibly: Address to MES Probationers<\/h4>\n

In her message to the Military Engineer Services officers, the President underscored their critical role in shaping India\u2019s defence infrastructure. She stressed the need to build with responsibility\u2014focusing not just on strength and efficiency, but also on sustainability.<\/p>\n

Highlighting the national vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India), she praised MES for its efforts in promoting indigenous materials and technologies under the Make in India initiative. \u201cAs young leaders in military construction, you must ensure that development aligns with sustainable practices and contributes to reducing the carbon footprint,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Water Security for a Resilient Future: Address to CWES Officers<\/h4>\n

While addressing officers from the Central Water Engineering Service, President Murmu emphasized the urgent need for sustainable water resource development and efficient water management, especially in the face of climate change.<\/p>\n

She noted that clean water access and water conservation are fundamental to improving public health, agricultural productivity, and environmental sustainability. \u201cYour role in water infrastructure development through sound engineering solutions will be critical in building India\u2019s resilience against natural and man-made water crises,\u201d she stated.<\/p>\n

Nation Builders of Tomorrow<\/h4>\n

The President concluded her address by encouraging all probationers to carry forward the ideals of dedication, innovation, and service to the nation. She called upon them to be torchbearers of change, leveraging their expertise and responsibility to help build a stronger, more sustainable India.<\/p>\n
