In a major boost to the development of the tribal region of Himachal Pradesh, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu<\/strong> today virtually laid the foundation stone for various development projects worth Rs. 36 crore<\/strong> in the Lahaul Valley<\/strong>. These projects aim to enhance agriculture, tourism, horticulture, and connectivity in the remote region, marking a significant step towards sustainable and inclusive growth.<\/p>\n

The virtual foundation-laying ceremony was held in Keylong<\/strong>, the district headquarters of Lahaul-Spiti, where Minister for Urban and Rural Planning, Rajesh Dharmani<\/strong>, attended as the chief guest<\/strong>. He formally inaugurated the program by unveiling the project plaques on-site.<\/p>\n

CM Commends Zero-Waste Tribal Fair<\/h3>\n

During the ceremony, CM Sukhu also extended hearty congratulations<\/strong> to the district administration for successfully organizing Himachal Pradesh’s first zero-waste and eco-friendly fair<\/strong>, which began today in Keylong. He highlighted the importance of aligning development with environmental responsibility, calling the fair a model for future initiatives<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Multi-Sectoral Boost for the Region<\/h3>\n

The Rs. 36 crore investment covers projects across multiple sectors including:<\/p>\n

  • Eco-tourism and Rural Tourism Development<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • Road and Connectivity Enhancements<\/strong><\/li>\n

    \u201cThese projects will infuse new energy into the region\u2019s economy, particularly in agriculture and tourism,\u201d said the Chief Minister. \u201cLahaul has immense potential, and our goal is to transform it into a model of sustainable development.\u201d<\/p>\n

    Assurance on Disaster Relief<\/h3>\n

    During the event, local MLA Anuradha Rana<\/strong> briefed the Chief Minister about recent cloudburst incidents<\/strong> in the region and appealed for aid and support for rehabilitation and relief. CM Sukhu assured her of all possible assistance<\/strong>, emphasizing the state government\u2019s commitment to the welfare of its people in times of crisis.<\/p>\n
