The 79th Independence Day celebrations at Mandi District Headquarters witnessed a spectacular parade by the NCC Air Wing and Army Wing contingents.<\/p>\n

Associate NCC Officer of the Air Squadron, Flying Officer Dr. Chaman, announced with pride that Senior Under Officer Diksha Kumari, a cadet of the Air Wing from Vallabh Government College, Mandi, was appointed as the Overall Parade Commander for this year\u2019s Independence Day celebrations. Notably, Cadet Diksha has previously served as the All India NCC Parade Commander at the National Republic Day Camp in New Delhi and has also led the Prime Minister\u2019s Rally at Cariappa Ground. For her outstanding achievements, she has been felicitated by both the Director General of NCC and the Governor of Himachal Pradesh.<\/p>\n

Flying Officer Dr. Chaman further informed that in the parade, the Air Wing contingent was led by Under Officer Nagendra Kumar, the Army Wing Boys\u2019 contingent was led by Under Officer Om Prakash, while the Girls\u2019 contingent was commanded by Under Officer Komal. The Chief Guest of the Independence Day celebrations presented mementos to Parade Commander Diksha and the contingent commanders in recognition of their excellent performance.<\/p>\n

Highlighting Cadet Diksha\u2019s achievements, Flying Officer Dr. Chaman said:
\n\u201cCadet Senior Under Officer Diksha Kumari presently serves as the Senior Under Officer and Adjutant to the Flight Commander at the college. She has earlier demonstrated her exemplary leadership as the All India NCC Parade Commander at the Republic Day Camp, New Delhi, where she represented the Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and Chandigarh Directorate.\u201d<\/p>\n

The NCC cadets mesmerized the audience with a disciplined rifle drill, synchronized march-past, and impressive display of coordination during the Independence Day parade at the District Headquarters. The parade, adorned in the glory of the national tricolor, not only rekindled patriotic fervor but also reflected the youth\u2019s discipline, energy, and dedication.<\/p>\n

Flying Officer Dr. Chaman remarked:
\n\u201cNCC cadets, in their immaculate uniforms, synchronized steps, and unity, conveyed a strong message of national integration and discipline. The responsibilities carried out by senior cadets as Parade Commander and Platoon Commanders stand as a testament to their leadership qualities.\u201d<\/p>\n

He further added:
\n\u201cThe Independence Day Parade is not merely a ceremonial event but a living demonstration of the nation\u2019s unity, strength, and discipline. The NCC motto, Unity and Discipline, found its true embodiment in today\u2019s parade.\u201d<\/p>\n

Principal of Vallabh Government College, Mandi, Dr. Sanjeev Kumar, said:
\n\u201cNCC cadets are not just the future citizens of the nation; they are the present torchbearers of social service, discipline, and patriotism.\u201d<\/p>\n

The citizens and officials present at the event lauded the cadets\u2019 inspiring and disciplined performance, stating that such displays will certainly encourage the youth to dedicate themselves to national service.<\/p>\n

A total of 10 select contingents from NCC Air Wing and Army Wing participated in the parade, including cadets from Vallabh Government College, Mandi; Government Senior Secondary School (Boys), Mandi; Government Senior Secondary School (Girls), Mandi; Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Mandi; Government Senior Secondary School, Pandoh; and DAV School, Mandi. Hundreds of NCC cadets enthusiastically took part in the celebration.<\/p>\n

The program was graced by Flying Officer Dr. Chaman (Associate NCC Officer, Himachal Pradesh Air Squadron NCC, Kullu), Third Officer Kamal Thakur, Third Officer Suman Pandit, First Officer Jitendra Yadav (2 HP NCC Battalion, Mandi), Third Officer Vinay Kaushal, Caretaker Officer Dr. Balbir Singh, Dr. Kavita, retired Flying Officer B.R. Thakur, along with hundreds of NCC cadets and citizens of Mandi.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
