In a massive push towards infrastructure and development in Bihar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for multiple projects worth over Rs. 12,000 crore in the sacred city of Gaya. The event, marked by grand public participation and the presence of key political figures, was described by the Prime Minister as a pivotal step in transforming Bihar\u2019s developmental trajectory and bolstering national security.<\/p>\n

Strengthening Bihar\u2019s Growth Engine<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Prime Minister launched and dedicated several key infrastructure projects across sectors like energy, health, connectivity, and urban development. Among the key highlights were:<\/p>\n

  • Buxar Thermal Power Plant (660 MW)<\/strong> \u2013 A Rs. 6,880 crore project to boost Bihar\u2019s electricity supply and industrial capacity.<\/li>\n
  • Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital & Research Centre in Muzaffarpur<\/strong> \u2013 Providing advanced cancer care and reducing dependency on metropolitan cities.<\/li>\n
  • Inauguration of the 8.15 km Aunta\u2013Simaria Bridge on NH-31<\/strong> \u2013 A Rs. 1,870 crore project to connect North and South Bihar directly and reduce detour travel by over 100 km for heavy vehicles.<\/li>\n
  • Four-lane Bakhtiyarpur to Mokama section of NH-31<\/strong> \u2013 Easing congestion and promoting economic activity.<\/li>\n
  • Sewerage treatment and urban development projects under Namami Gange and AMRUT 2.0<\/strong> worth over Rs. 1,260 crore.<\/li>\n
  • Grih Pravesh for over 16,000 beneficiaries under PMAY<\/strong> \u2013 Symbolizing dignity and safety for rural and urban poor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    \u201cGaya Ji\u2019s Spiritual Legacy Is India’s Pride\u201d<\/strong><\/h3>\n

    Greeting the crowd from the land of the Vishnupad Temple, PM Modi honored Gaya\u2019s rich spiritual heritage, describing it as a land of peace and enlightenment. He congratulated the Bihar government for officially embracing the respectful name \u201cGaya ji,\u201d reflecting the emotional and cultural sentiments of the people.<\/p>\n

    \u201cRapid Development of Bihar is NDA\u2019s Commitment\u201d<\/strong><\/h3>\n

    Reaffirming his government\u2019s commitment to Bihar\u2019s transformation, the Prime Minister emphasized that the state\u2019s progress was a top priority for the Centre. Comparing current progress with past neglect, he took a swipe at opposition parties for \u201cpushing Bihar into darkness during the lantern regime.\u201d<\/p>\n

    \u201cThousands of villages lacked even electricity poles. That was not just underdevelopment\u2014it was deliberate disregard,\u201d he said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

    PM Modi credited Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for leading a transparent and large-scale campaign to offer government jobs to youth and stressed that with projects like industrial hubs in Dobhi and new technology centres, Bihar’s youth will find more opportunities at home.<\/p>\n

    Operation Sindoor: India\u2019s New Defence Doctrine<\/strong><\/h3>\n

    In a significant statement on national security, the Prime Minister declared that \u201cOperation Sindoor has drawn a new line in India\u2019s defence strategy.\u201d<\/strong> Referencing recent attacks from across the border, he highlighted how India\u2019s upgraded missile defence systems have neutralized threats before they could reach Indian soil.<\/p>\n

    \u201cEven if terrorists hide deep underground, India\u2019s missiles will find and destroy them,\u201d he asserted.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

    Crackdown on Corruption: New Law to Cover PMs and CMs<\/strong><\/h3>\n

    Calling corruption the biggest enemy of development, PM Modi announced that the Central Government will soon introduce a stringent anti-corruption law<\/strong> that will cover the Prime Minister, Chief Ministers, and Ministers.<\/p>\n

    \u201cIf arrested, and if bail is not secured within 30 days, they must resign from office on the 31st day,\u201d he explained.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

    He strongly criticized opposition leaders for clinging to power even while facing jail time, hinting at recent high-profile corruption cases and alleged misuse of public funds.<\/p>\n

    Firm Stance on Infiltration: Demography Mission Announced<\/strong><\/h3>\n

    In one of the most politically charged moments of the speech, PM Modi raised concerns about illegal infiltration in Bihar\u2019s border districts. He announced a \u201cDemography Mission\u201d<\/strong> to address changing population profiles and reiterated a zero-tolerance policy:<\/p>\n

    \u201cEvery infiltrator will be expelled\u2014without exception<\/strong>,\u201d he declared, warning that infiltrators are stealing employment and welfare benefits meant for Indian citizens.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

    He accused opposition parties of appeasement politics and compromising national interests for votes.<\/p>\n

    Strengthening Rail and Road Connectivity<\/strong><\/h3>\n

    The Prime Minister flagged off two important trains:<\/p>\n

    • Amrit Bharat Express (Gaya\u2013Delhi)<\/strong> \u2013 Offering modern amenities and fast travel.<\/li>\n
    • Buddhist Circuit Train (Vaishali\u2013Koderma)<\/strong> \u2013 Promoting religious tourism across Buddhist sites.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      He also highlighted the modernization of Gaya Railway Station<\/strong> under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, which will offer airport-like facilities.<\/p>\n

      No Stain of Corruption in 11 Years, Says PM<\/strong><\/h3>\n

      Reflecting on his decade-long tenure, PM Modi said:<\/p>\n

      \u201cNot a single stain of corruption has tainted our government in all these years. This is the trust of the people. In contrast, the opposition\u2019s record is full of scams\u2014something even children in Bihar are aware of.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

      Political Unity in Presence<\/strong><\/h3>\n

      The grand event in Gaya saw the presence of key leaders from both Central and State governments, including Bihar Governor Arif Mohammed Khan, CM Nitish Kumar, Union Ministers Rajiv Ranjan Singh, Giriraj Singh, Chirag Paswan, Jitan Ram Manjhi, Nityanand Rai, and others.<\/p>\n

      Concluding his address, the Prime Minister assured the people of Bihar that their dreams and aspirations are at the heart of the NDA\u2019s vision.<\/p>\n

      \u201cWe are building roads, industries, homes, and hope. This is not just development\u2014it\u2019s a revolution. Together with the people of Bihar, we will build a future free from corruption, terrorism, and fear,\u201d he said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
