In a significant show of solidarity and support, the Government of Assam has contributed Rs. 5 crore to the Chief Minister\u2019s Relief Fund of Himachal Pradesh to aid disaster-affected families hit by heavy monsoon rains this season.<\/p>\n

The cheque was formally handed over to Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu by Assam\u2019s Power, Skill, Employment, and Entrepreneurship Minister Prasanta Phukan during a meeting held in New Delhi today.<\/p>\n

This financial support comes in the wake of devastating floods and landslides triggered by incessant rainfall across various districts of Himachal Pradesh, leaving behind a trail of destruction and severely impacting thousands of families.<\/p>\n

In addition to Assam\u2019s contribution, other notable donations were also received by the Chief Minister at the same event. Rahul Bagga, Senior Manager, Legal and Corporate Affairs, and Lead India Growth at Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL), presented a cheque of Rs. 50 lakh to the CM. Baldev Thakur, Director of State Transport, also extended his support with a personal contribution of Rs. 1 lakh.<\/p>\n

Expressing his gratitude, Chief Minister Sukhu thanked the Government of Assam, corporate donors, and individual contributors for their compassionate response.<\/p>\n

“It is a matter of great satisfaction to see state governments, philanthropists, organizations, and individuals come forward with such generosity. These contributions are instrumental in providing prompt relief to families affected by natural calamities,” said the Chief Minister.<\/p>\n

The Chief Minister\u2019s Relief Fund continues to receive nationwide attention and support as Himachal Pradesh undertakes recovery and rehabilitation efforts in the aftermath of the monsoon devastation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
