Prime Minister Narendra Modi\u2019s<\/strong> announcement of a special Rs. 1,500 crore disaster relief package for Himachal Pradesh<\/strong> has drawn widespread praise from BJP leaders, who hailed the gesture as a symbol of the PM’s emotional and personal connection with the state.<\/p>\n

Rakesh Jamwal<\/strong>, BJP MLA and the party\u2019s chief spokesperson in Himachal Pradesh, expressed deep gratitude for the Prime Minister’s visit to disaster-affected areas and his direct engagement with the victims. \u201cPrime Minister Modi considers Himachal his own family. His visit to meet affected families and his compassion, especially when he held an orphaned girl in his arms, deeply touched every Himachali,\u201d said Jamwal.<\/p>\n

Jamwal emphasized that beyond monetary aid, PM Modi\u2019s presence demonstrated true leadership and empathy. \u201cThis isn\u2019t just financial assistance \u2014 it\u2019s a reflection of emotional solidarity. No other Prime Minister in history has shown this level of personal concern for Himachal,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

He also used the opportunity to criticize the ruling Congress government in the state, alleging mismanagement of central funds.<\/p>\n

Echoing similar sentiments, Sanjeev Katwal<\/strong>, BJP State General Secretary, and Ajay Rana<\/strong>, party spokesperson, jointly stated that PM Modi’s leadership during this crisis reflects his strong bond with Himachal Pradesh. \u201cHe calls this state his second home, and his actions prove it,\u201d they said.<\/p>\n

The leaders noted that including the recent announcement, the Centre has provided a total of Rs. 6,625 crore<\/strong> in disaster-related aid to the state. Additionally, under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana<\/strong>, Himachal has received over Rs. 3,200 crore<\/strong> for rural road connectivity.<\/p>\n

\u201cPM Modi\u2019s declaration of Rs. 2 lakh compensation for families of the deceased and Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 1 lakh for the injured reflects his commitment to understanding and alleviating people\u2019s suffering,\u201d they added.<\/p>\n

The BJP leaders also praised NDRF<\/strong>, SDRF<\/strong>, and local volunteers for their heroic efforts during the Manimahesh Yatra rescue operations<\/strong>, where over 3,000 stranded pilgrims were safely evacuated. \u201cFrom roads to relief \u2014 the Centre is standing shoulder to shoulder with Himachal,\u201d they concluded.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
