Vallabh Government College, Mandi, has been honored with the Miniature Trophy along with Winner and Runner-up Trophies by the Directorate of Physical Education and Youth Programs, Himachal Pradesh University, for its outstanding performance in sports during the academic session 2024\u201325.<\/p>\n

At the Annual Sports Award Distribution Ceremony, the prestigious trophies were received on behalf of the college by Dr. Sunil Sen, Head of the Department of Physical Education, and Nirmal Singh, Sports Coach, from the Vice-Chancellor of Himachal Pradesh University, Dr. Mahavir Singh.<\/p>\n

During this session, the college participated in 42 sporting competitions and secured 19 trophies. After achieving the distinction of becoming the State-Level Overall Champion for the first time in the academic session 2023\u201324, the college successfully continued this legacy in 2024\u201325 by winning 11 trophies in the men\u2019s category and 8 trophies in the women\u2019s category. Significantly, the college clinched the Overall Championship in Wushu for the third consecutive year, earning the Miniature Trophy.<\/p>\n

Principal Dr. Sanjeev Kumar expressed immense pride and congratulated the players, coaches, Head of the Department of Physical Education, team managers, and members of the Sports Committee.<\/p>\n

\u201cSports are essential for the holistic development of individuals. The players of Vallabh Government College, Mandi, have brought great honor to the institution by showcasing their exceptional talent at both state and national levels\u201d he remarked.<\/p>\n

Sharing further details, Dr. Sunil Sen informed that in the academic session 2024\u201325, the college\u2019s women\u2019s team won the Runner-up Trophy in the Overall Championship, while the men\u2019s teams bagged 11 out of 21 trophies and the women\u2019s teams secured 8 trophies across various disciplines.<\/p>\n
