UNICEF has issued a strong condemnation following reports of a deadly overnight attack on a boarding school in Kyauktaw Township<\/strong>, located in Myanmar\u2019s conflict-ridden Rakhine State<\/strong>. The attack, which occurred while children were sleeping, has reportedly resulted in the deaths and injuries of multiple students.<\/p>\n

While full details of the incident are still emerging, UNICEF says the strike marks a deeply alarming escalation in violence that continues to devastate children and families in the region. The boarding school \u2014 a place that should have served as a safe haven \u2014 became a site of unimaginable horror.<\/p>\n

\u201cChildren are losing their lives in the very spaces meant to protect them \u2014 their homes, schools, and neighborhoods,\u201d UNICEF stated. \u201cRelentless attacks are sowing terror, uprooting families, and deepening their suffering.\u201d<\/p>\n

Children Caught in the Crossfire of Escalating Conflict<\/strong><\/h3>\n
