In a major move to promote tourism and create sustainable self-employment opportunities, the Himachal Pradesh Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, has approved the launch of the \u2018Chief Minister Tourism Startup Scheme in Hospitality Industry\u2019<\/strong>. The initiative aims to support budding entrepreneurs and homestay owners through financial incentives and targeted subsidies, specifically tailored to boost the state’s rapidly growing tourism economy.<\/p>\n

As part of the scheme, the government will provide an interest subsidy ranging from 3% to 5% on loans up to Rs. 2 crore<\/strong> for the establishment and upgradation of tourism units, particularly homestays. The interest subsidy structure is tiered by region:<\/p>\n

  • 3% subsidy in urban areas<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • 4% subsidy in rural areas<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • 5% subsidy in tribal areas<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    This subsidy will be available for a maximum period of three years<\/strong> from the date of loan disbursement. Notably, this benefit is restricted to Bonafide Himachali residents<\/strong>, ensuring that the scheme directly benefits locals.<\/p>\n
