The event aimed at educating students about various aspects of adolescent health, including physical, mental, emotional, and social well-being.<\/p>\n<p>The program was conducted under the guidance of Professor Asha Thakur, Convener of the Gender Sensitization Committee. Welcoming the guests and conducting the proceedings, Professor Thakur also informed the audience about the various initiatives and activities being carried out by the committee in the college.<\/p>\n<p>The keynote speaker for the event was<strong>\u00a0Vijay Bhanot<\/strong>, Health Educator at the Zonal Hospital, Mandi. In his detailed address, Bhanot provided insightful information on important issues related to adolescent health, such as nutrition, sexual and reproductive health, mental well-being, injury prevention, substance abuse, and violence. He emphasized the importance of informed choices and healthy habits during the adolescent years, which are crucial for overall development and future well-being.<\/p>\n<p>The event was graced by the presence of <strong>Dr. Sanjeev Kumar<\/strong>, Principal of Vallabh Government College, as the Chief Guest. In his address, Dr. Kumar encouraged students to adopt a disciplined and healthy lifestyle, avoid junk food and intoxicating substances, and contribute to maintaining cleanliness in their surroundings. He also urged them to share the valuable information gained from the program with their families and communities, thus promoting a culture of awareness and wellness beyond the campus.<\/p>\n<p>To honor the contribution of the keynote speaker, Dr. Sanjeev Kumar presented a memento to <strong>Vijay Bhanot<\/strong>, expressing gratitude for his efforts in educating the students on such a vital topic. He also appreciated the efforts of the Gender Sensitization Committee, student volunteers, and faculty members in organizing the event successfully.<\/p>\n<p>The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by <strong>Dr. Banita Saklani<\/strong>, who also advised the students to maintain a healthy distance from mobile phones and social media to avoid their negative impacts.<\/p>\n<p>The event saw active participation from students, volunteers, and faculty members.
