Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of development projects worth more than Rs. 1,22,100 crore in Banswara, Rajasthan today. These wide-ranging initiatives span clean energy, water resources, power infrastructure, employment, healthcare, and rail and road connectivity\u2014marking one of the largest investment drives in southern Rajasthan in recent years.<\/p>\n

Navratri Dedication to \u201cUrja Shakti\u201d<\/em><\/h3>\n

Speaking on the fourth day of Navratri, PM Modi began his address by offering prayers at the sacred site of Maa Tripura Sundari and paid homage to Maa Mahi\u2014revered as the Ganga of Kanthal and Vagad. He noted that the waters of the Mahi river symbolize the resilience of India’s tribal communities and recalled the contributions of tribal leader Mahayogi Govind Guru.<\/p>\n

The PM dedicated the day\u2019s major announcements to Urja Shakti<\/em> (Energy Power), stating, \u201cA new chapter in India\u2019s energy sector is being written from the soil of Rajasthan.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u00a0Major Energy Announcements<\/h3>\n

PM Modi announced the launch of energy projects exceeding Rs. 90,000 crore across Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Maharashtra. In Rajasthan, he inaugurated solar energy projects and laid the foundation stone for the Mahi Banswara Rajasthan Atomic Power Project<\/strong>, a Rs. 42,000 crore initiative that will house four indigenous 700 MW nuclear reactors with advanced safety features.<\/p>\n

He emphasized that his government is turning India\u2019s clean energy mission into a jan andolan<\/em>\u2014a people\u2019s movement\u2014highlighting the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana<\/strong> and PM-KUSUM Scheme<\/strong> that aim to make solar energy accessible for households and farmers alike.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Electricity as the Backbone of Growth<\/h3>\n

The PM strongly criticized previous governments for decades of electricity deprivation. \u201cWhen we came to power in 2014, 2.5 crore households lacked electricity. After 70 years of independence, 18,000 villages hadn\u2019t seen a single electric pole,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Today, with universal electrification achieved and clean energy being rapidly deployed, he declared, \u201cElectricity is no longer a privilege\u2014it\u2019s a right and a catalyst for development.\u201d<\/p>\n

Reaffirming his government’s commitment to inclusive growth, Modi announced that projects worth Rs. 30,000 crore are being implemented to improve water, power, and healthcare access in Rajasthan. He emphasized his government\u2019s focus on Antyodaya<\/strong>, the upliftment of the most marginalized, especially tribal communities.<\/p>\n

Citing the launch of PM Janman Yojana<\/strong>, hundreds of Eklavya Model Residential Schools<\/strong>, recognition of forest rights, and the Van Dhan Yojana<\/strong>, he said: \u201cWe are working to ensure that India\u2019s tribal communities live with dignity, self-respect, and cultural pride.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u00a0Employment, Infrastructure, and Rail Boost<\/h3>\n

Modi flagged off three new trains including the Bikaner\u2013Delhi Cantt Vande Bharat Express<\/strong>, Jodhpur\u2013Delhi Cantt Vande Bharat<\/strong>, and Udaipur\u2013Chandigarh Express<\/strong>. These services will significantly enhance Rajasthan\u2019s connectivity with northern states.<\/p>\n

He also distributed over 15,000 appointment letters<\/strong> to youth newly appointed in government jobs across Rajasthan and announced a host of new infrastructure projects:<\/p>\n

    \u00a0Tax Reform & GST Savings Festival<\/h3>\n

    In a detailed comparison of the pre- and post-GST eras, Modi stated that his government\u2019s tax reforms are bringing real savings to households. Items of daily use, from soap to shoes to cement, are now significantly cheaper:<\/p>\n

    • A Rs. 500 shoe earlier cost Rs. 575, now costs Rs. 450<\/li>\n
    • A Rs. 60,000 motorcycle taxed at Rs. 19,000 earlier, now just Rs. 10,000<\/li>\n
    • A Rs. 300 cement bag that incurred Rs. 90 in tax earlier, now just Rs. 50<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      \u201cUnder the opposition, taxes and inflation were record high. Today, our governance is marked by direct savings to the common man,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

      \u00a0Swadeshi Appeal for Festive Season<\/h3>\n

      As India celebrates the GST Savings Festival<\/strong>, Modi appealed to citizens to prioritize swadeshi<\/em> products during the festive season. \u201cBuy what is made in India. Sell what is made in India. When we choose swadeshi, we empower our artisans and strengthen national development,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n
