VGCM Creates History, Sweeps Trophies at SPU\u2019s Maiden Inter-Collegiate Shooting & Kabaddi Championship.<\/h1>\n

The valedictory ceremony of the Inter-Collegiate Shooting and Kabaddi Championship, organised by Sardar Patel University, was conducted with great dignity at Vallabh Government College, Mandi. Professor Rajesh Sharma, Dean of Student Welfare and Director of Sports, Sardar Patel University, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.<\/p>\n

In his address, Prof. Sharma stated that the colleges of Himachal Pradesh are brimming with talent, and this championship has successfully provided a platform for these young athletes to showcase their abilities. This was the first-ever Inter-Collegiate Shooting and Kabaddi Championship organised by Sardar Patel University, in which the participants delivered remarkable performances. The Chief Guest honoured the winners with trophies and medals. The Overall Championship Trophies in Pistol and Rifle (Men & Women categories) were awarded to the Shooting Team of Vallabh Government College, Mandi.<\/p>\n

On the occasion, Dr. Sanjeev Kumar, Principal of Vallabh Government College, Mandi, presented mementoes to the Chief Guest and distinguished guests. He remarked that sports play a pivotal role in fostering holistic development. Sports Coordinator Dr. Ravinder Kumar presented a detailed report of the championship held from 25 to 27 September 2025.<\/p>\n

Media Coordinator and President of the Men\u2019s Shooting Division, Flying Officer Dr. Chaman, proudly announced that Vallabh Government College, Mandi has created history by winning the Overall Championship Trophy in Sardar Patel University\u2019s maiden Inter-Collegiate Shooting Championship 2025.<\/p>\n

The championship was successfully executed through the dedicated efforts of the faculty and non-teaching staff of the college, along with the technical officials of the university \u2014 Ajay Lakhanpal, Balwinder Singh, Dheeraj Sharma, Dr. Chaman (President, Men\u2019s Shooting), Dr. Archana Sharma (President, Women\u2019s Shooting), Dr. Nirmal Singh (President, Men\u2019s Kabaddi), Dr. Bandana (President, Women\u2019s Kabaddi), Molak Ram, Harsh Thakur, Dharampal Thakur, Suresh Kumar, Tarachand, Gulzari Lal, Krishan Chand, Yograj, Nitesh Singh, Rohit Parmar, Om Prakash, Pramod and Nirmal Singh.<\/p>\n

Significant contributions were also made by University Sports Supervisor Parvesh Sharma, Dr. Ravinder, Dr. Om Prakash, Dr. Lokesh and Lieutenant Kamlesh Sen.<\/p>\n

Presenting the vote of thanks, Organising Secretary Dr. Sunil Sen informed that nearly 300 athletes participated in the Shooting and Kabaddi events. A total of 13 teams competed in Kabaddi, while 9 institutions participated in the Men\u2019s Shooting and 8 in the Women\u2019s category.<\/p>\n

The ceremony witnessed an enthusiastic presence of team managers from various institutions, hundreds of athletes and thousands of students of Vallabh Government College, Mandi.<\/p>\n
