The district-level Under-19 girls\u2019 sports tournament commenced today with great enthusiasm at the Government Girls Senior Secondary School at Sundernagar in Mandi district. The three-day sporting event was inaugurated by former Chief Parliamentary Secretary and senior Congress leader, Sohan Lal Thakur<\/strong>, who graced the occasion as the chief guest.<\/p>\n

The tournament has brought together nearly 450 talented girl athletes<\/strong> from 18 zones across the district<\/strong>, who will compete in 11 major sporting disciplines<\/strong>. The event aims to promote athletic talent, sportsmanship, and healthy competition among young female students.<\/p>\n

Addressing the gathering, Sohan Lal Thakur expressed his delight at witnessing such a vibrant display of sporting spirit among the youth. He praised the organizing committee for their commendable efforts in putting together the event and extended his heartfelt gratitude for the warm welcome and honor he received.<\/p>\n

The tournament will continue over the next two days, featuring a range of competitions including athletics, volleyball, kabaddi, kho-kho, and more.
