Bringing festive cheer ahead of Diwali, the Himachal Pradesh government has announced a significant hike in wages and honorariums for thousands of employees and workers across the state. Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu<\/strong> unveiled the pre-Diwali bonanza, benefiting a wide range of personnel including daily wagers, SMC teachers, mid-day meal workers, Panchayati Raj Institution (PRI) representatives, Urban Local Bodies (ULB) officials, and others.<\/p>\n

Mid-Day Meal Workers and Teachers Get a Boost<\/h3>\n

In a major relief for educational support staff, the honorarium of 21,115 Mid-Day Meal Workers<\/strong> has been increased by Rs. 500, raising it to Rs. 5,000 per month<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The 877 SMC C&V teachers<\/strong> will now receive Rs. 16,009<\/strong>, up from Rs. 15,509. Similarly, 833 SMC Lecturers and DPEs<\/strong> will draw Rs. 19,378<\/strong>, while 491 SMC TGTs<\/strong> will also get Rs. 19,378 following a Rs. 500 hike. 62 SMC JBTs<\/strong> will now earn Rs. 13,762 per month, and 31 water carriers<\/strong> will receive Rs. 5,500.<\/p>\n

Daily Wagers and Part-Time Workers<\/h3>\n

In a significant move, the daily wage rate<\/strong> for daily wagers and part-time workers<\/strong> has been increased by Rs. 25<\/strong>, taking it to Rs. 425 per day<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Chowkidars, Lambardars, and Instructors<\/h3>\n
    \n
  • 1,399 Panchayat Chowkidars<\/strong> will now receive Rs. 8,500<\/strong> per month.<\/li>\n
  • 970 Rajasva Chowkidars<\/strong> will get Rs. 6,300<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  • 3,304 Lambardars<\/strong> will be paid Rs. 4,500<\/strong> monthly, marking a \u20b9300 hike.<\/li>\n
  • Stitching instructors<\/strong> will also benefit from a Rs. 500 increase in their honorarium.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Hike for Panchayati Raj Institution (PRI) Representatives<\/h3>\n

    The honorarium of PRI representatives has also been significantly revised:<\/p>\n

    • Vice Chairperson<\/strong>: Rs. 19,000 (\u2191 \u20b91,000)<\/li>\n

    • Panchayat Samiti Chairperson<\/strong>: Rs. 12,000 (\u2191 \u20b9600)<\/li>\n
    • Vice Chairperson<\/strong>: Rs. 9,000 (\u2191 \u20b9600)<\/li>\n
    • Members Zila Parishad<\/strong>: Rs. 7,500 (\u2191 \u20b93,000)<\/li>\n
    • Gram Panchayat Pradhan<\/strong>: Rs 7,500 (\u2191 \u20b9300)<\/li>\n
    • Up-Pradhan<\/strong>: Rs. 5,100 (\u2191 \u20b9300)<\/li>\n
    • Gram Panchayat Members<\/strong>: Rs. 2,100 (\u2191 \u20b9600)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Urban Local Body (ULB) Representatives Also Benefit<\/h3>\n

      The CM also extended benefits to Urban Local Body representatives:<\/p>\n

      • Councillors (MC)<\/strong>: Rs. 9,400 (\u2191 \u20b91,000)<\/li>\n
      • Municipal Council Chairperson<\/strong>: Rs. 10,800 (\u2191 \u20b9600)<\/li>\n
      • Vice Chairperson<\/strong>: Rs. 8,900 (\u2191 \u20b9500)<\/li>\n
      • Councillors<\/strong>: Rs. 4,500 (\u2191 \u20b9500)<\/li>\n
      • Nagar Panchayat Pradhan<\/strong>: Rs. 9,000 (\u2191 \u20b9600)<\/li>\n
      • Up-Pradhan<\/strong>: Rs. 7,000 (\u2191 \u20b9400)<\/li>\n
