The annual cultural, academic, and sports festival \u201cIris 2025\u201d is all set to be organized at Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Government Medical College and Hospital, Nerchowk, Mandi (Himachal Pradesh) from October 14 to 16, 2025. This three-day mega event, being hosted by the trainee doctors of the college, promises a vibrant confluence of talent, energy, and social commitment.<\/p>\n

A press conference was held at the college premises, addressed by Dr. Rajesh Kumar Bhawani, the officiating Principal of SLBS Government Medical College and Hospital, Nerchowk, who shared details about the scale, scope, and significance of the event.<\/p>\n

\u201cIris 2025 is not just a celebration of youth, culture, and sportsmanship, but also a reflection of our responsibility towards society. We\u2019re proud to host participants from around six medical colleges across Himachal Pradesh, making this one of the largest inter-medical college events in the state,\u201d said Dr. Rajesh.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Highlights of Iris 2025:<\/h4>\n

Participation: Medical students and trainee doctors from across six government medical colleges in Himachal Pradesh will compete in various categories.<\/p>\n

Prize Pool: A total of Rs. 2,00,000 in cash prizes will be awarded to winners across multiple categories to encourage student excellence and participation.<\/p>\n

Philanthropy: In a commendable initiative, all proceeds from the event \u2014 including registration fees and sponsorships \u2014 will be donated to the Chief Minister\u2019s Relief Fund, reinforcing the students\u2019 commitment to social welfare.<\/p>\n

Social Responsibility Initiatives:<\/p>\n

Blood Donation Camp organized during the festival.<\/p>\n

“Marathon for Tobacco-Free Youth” to raise awareness among the youth against tobacco Initiative.<\/p>\n
