The incident occurred on September 27, 2025, in the Bopal area of the city.<\/p>\n<p>In a press statement issued on Monday, the NHRC said that if the details reported in the media are accurate, they raise serious concerns about human rights violations and worker safety. The Commission has issued notices to the Chief Secretary of the Government of Gujarat and the Commissioner of Police, Ahmedabad, demanding a detailed report within two weeks.<\/p>\n<p>According to a media report published on September 29, about 15 labourers were engaged in installing a large hoarding approximately 80 feet above ground on the rooftop of a seven-storey residential building. During the installation, the structure collapsed, causing ten workers to fall. Two of them succumbed to their injuries, one sustained critical injuries, and seven others received minor injuries. All injured workers were rushed to a hospital for treatment.<\/p>\n<p>The NHRC emphasized the need for accountability and proper safety measures at construction and advertising installation sites, especially when workers are operating at dangerous heights.
