Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the Rozgar Mela via videoconferencing today, highlighting the government\u2019s continued commitment to empowering India\u2019s youth and creating employment opportunities. Speaking on the occasion, he said that this year\u2019s Diwali has brought a special light into people\u2019s lives, as thousands of young Indians celebrate not only the festival but also the joy of receiving appointment letters for permanent jobs.<\/p>\n

The Prime Minister congratulated over 51,000 newly appointed youth across the country and extended his best wishes to them and their families. He said that their enthusiasm, hard work, and self-confidence reflect the spirit of a new India. \u201cWhen this passion to serve the nation combines with personal success, it becomes a triumph for the entire country,\u201d he remarked.<\/p>\n

Emphasizing that the appointments are not merely government jobs but opportunities for active participation in nation-building, Modi encouraged the new appointees to uphold integrity, sincerity, and the mantra of \u2018Nagarik Devo Bhava\u2019<\/em>, working with a sense of service and responsibility.<\/p>\n

Highlighting the government\u2019s progress over the years, the Prime Minister noted, \u201cOur government has issued over 11 lakh appointment letters through Rozgar Melas alone.\u201d He added that youth empowerment remains at the core of India\u2019s development journey, supported by initiatives such as the PM Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana<\/strong>, which aims to provide employment to 3.5 crore youth. Complementary efforts under Skill India Mission<\/strong> and the National Career Service<\/strong> are connecting millions of young Indians with new opportunities, with over 7 crore vacancies already shared through these platforms.<\/p>\n

Announcing a new initiative, Modi introduced the Pratibha Setu Portal<\/strong>, which will connect candidates who reached the final stage of the UPSC examinations but were not selected, with both public and private sector opportunities. He said this step ensures that their talent is not lost but redirected toward nation-building.<\/p>\n

Discussing India\u2019s economic momentum, the Prime Minister referred to the success of the GST Bachat Utsav<\/strong>, which he described as a \u201ctransformative reform energizing demand, production, and employment.\u201d Record-breaking Diwali and Dhanteras sales, he noted, are evidence of how GST reforms have boosted consumer spending, manufacturing, logistics, and MSME growth, turning the festive season into an \u201cEmployment Festival.\u201d<\/p>\n

Modi also emphasized India\u2019s growing global partnerships aimed at expanding youth opportunities. He mentioned that recent agreements with countries such as the United Kingdom, Brazil, Singapore, Korea, and Canada are expected to generate employment in emerging sectors like AI, fintech, and clean energy. The Free Trade Agreement with the UK, he added, will further open new avenues for youth employment and entrepreneurship.<\/p>\n

Reiterating India\u2019s status as the world\u2019s youngest nation, Modi said that the strength and potential of its youth are shaping the nation\u2019s progress across sectors, including foreign policy. He called upon the new appointees to embrace continuous learning through the i-Got Karmayogi Bharat Platform<\/strong>, where 1.5 crore government employees are already upskilling themselves to strengthen good governance and work culture.<\/p>\n

Concluding his address, the Prime Minister said, \u201cYoung karmayogis like you will lead the journey towards a developed India. It is through your dedication and efforts that the nation\u2019s future will take shape and the dreams of its citizens will be fulfilled.\u201d<\/p>\n
