Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today chaired a high-level review meeting with senior officers to assess the progress of the budget announcements for the financial year 2025\u201326. He instructed officials to ensure prompt implementation of the initiatives on the ground so that the public could benefit from them at the earliest.<\/p>\n

The Chief Minister emphasized that the state government is committed to bolstering key sectors such as education, health, food processing, green energy, tourism, data storage, and the rural economy. Highlighting the government\u2019s proactive approach, he stated that new public welfare schemes will soon be introduced, considering the emerging opportunities for growth and development in these areas.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is no shortage of funds or resources for developmental projects,\u201d Sukhu asserted, directing all departments to accelerate the completion of pending works and deliver tangible outcomes swiftly.<\/p>\n

Focusing on the rural economy, the Chief Minister said that the government\u2019s priority is to enhance the income of farmers and horticulturists. To achieve this, the state is strengthening cold storage and food processing infrastructure and promoting natural farming in a significant way. He added that certification and marketing of natural products are being prioritized to ensure fair prices for farmers\u2019 produce.<\/p>\n

Under the \u2018HIM-IRA\u2019 brand, products crafted by self-help groups are gaining popularity, helping boost their income and economic independence, the Chief Minister noted.<\/p>\n

In the education sector, Sukhu reiterated the government\u2019s commitment to quality improvement. He announced that one Rajiv Gandhi Day-Boarding School<\/strong> would be established in each Assembly constituency. In the first phase, 100 government schools will be affiliated with the CBSE to raise academic standards.<\/p>\n

On the health front, the Chief Minister said that medical institutions across the state are being modernized with advanced equipment and upgraded technology to provide specialized healthcare within Himachal Pradesh itself.<\/p>\n

He further directed all departments to complete digitization of their operations by December 2025<\/strong>, ensuring quicker, more transparent service delivery through digital platforms. As part of the budget announcements, drone stations<\/strong> are being set up in Hamirpur, Mandi, and Kangra<\/strong>, and concerned departments have been asked to expedite this work.<\/p>\n

The meeting was attended by Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Dr. (Col.)
