Separate Cadre to Be Created for Teachers of CBSE Schools: CM Sukhu Announces Upgradation of Mamligh Sub-Tehsil and New Development Initiatives.<\/h1>\n

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Tuesday announced the upgradation of Mamligh sub-tehsil to a full-fledged tehsil, along with the opening of a Public Works Department (PWD) sub-division at Mamligh, during his visit to the region in Solan district.<\/p>\n

Addressing a massive public gathering after dedicating development projects worth Rs. 27.43 crore, the Chief Minister unveiled a slew of announcements aimed at strengthening the state\u2019s education, health, and rural economy. He also announced Rs. 50 lakh for the construction of a school roof and Rs. 50,000 for the promotion of cultural activities in the area.<\/p>\n

Focus on Educational Reforms and Quality Learning<\/h4>\n

Highlighting the government\u2019s commitment to transforming the education system, the Chief Minister said that a separate cadre will be created for teachers appointed in CBSE-based Rajiv Gandhi Model Day Boarding Schools, being established across Himachal Pradesh. In the first phase, 100 such schools are being set up \u2014 one in every Assembly constituency.<\/p>\n

He added that these schools will have specialized subject teachers, a distinct dress code for students, and modern facilities to ensure high-quality education comparable to national standards.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur goal is to prepare rural students for global challenges and build confidence among them through quality education. The state has moved up from the 21st position to 5th nationally in education rankings, proving that our reforms are working,\u201d said the Chief Minister.<\/p>\n

He also criticized the previous BJP government for \u201copening schools for mere political gains\u201d in the last six months of its tenure without ensuring proper infrastructure or staffing. \u201cWe have taken tough decisions to rationalize schools and improve teaching quality, not just numbers,\u201d he asserted.<\/p>\n

Modernizing Revenue and Land Services<\/h4>\n

Emphasizing administrative transparency, CM Sukhu mentioned that the state government has launched the \u2018My Deed\u2019 (Mera Daastavej) project \u2014 a pilot initiative to modernize land registration and enable citizens to register land online without repeated visits to revenue offices. He also informed that Revenue Lok Adalats are being organized across the state to resolve pending cases swiftly.<\/p>\n

Healthcare Transformation Underway<\/h4>\n

The Chief Minister said that the government is focusing on improving the health infrastructure by recruiting doctors and paramedical staff and installing state-of-the-art medical technology.<\/p>\n

He stated that Rs. 3,000 crore is being spent to upgrade medical institutions with facilities equivalent to those in AIIMS Delhi. \u201cRobotic surgery has already begun at Chamiyana and Tanda hospitals,\u201d he announced.<\/p>\n

The government has sanctioned Rs. 75 crore for setting up automated laboratories in the Super Speciality Hospital at Chamiyana, IGMC Shimla, and Tanda Medical College, enabling multiple tests to be conducted simultaneously using a single blood sample.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe previous BJP government only focused on constructing buildings but ignored providing facilities and manpower. We are changing that,\u201d Sukhu remarked.<\/p>\n

Strengthening Rural Economy and Farmer Welfare<\/h4>\n

Chief Minister Sukhu reiterated his government\u2019s focus on economic self-reliance for farmers and rural communities. To support them, the government has increased the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for cow milk to Rs. 51 per litre and buffalo milk to Rs. 61 per litre.<\/p>\n

He also highlighted that crops grown under natural farming are being purchased at remunerative rates \u2014 wheat at Rs. 60 per kg, maize at Rs. 40 per kg, raw turmeric at Rs. 90 per kg, and barley from farmers in Pangi Valley (Chamba) at Rs. 60 per kg.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are working to ensure that farmers receive fair prices for their produce and are motivated to continue sustainable and natural farming practices,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Zero-Tolerance Policy Against Corruption<\/h4>\n

Reiterating his government\u2019s stance on transparency, CM Sukhu accused the previous BJP government of massive irregularities, stating that 5,000 bighas of land were given away for just Rs. 14 crore under five customized industrial packages \u2014 land valued at nearly Rs. 1,000 crore. He added that the former regime also offered free electricity and water to select investors.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have adopted zero-tolerance towards corruption. Himachal suffered financially after the implementation of GST, and while the Union Government compensated us only until July 2022, the BJP government received Rs. 50,000 crore in additional funds but failed to use it for public welfare,\u201d he said. \u201cNow, we are compelled to raise loans to repay their borrowings.\u201d<\/p>\n

Warm Reception and Dignitaries Present<\/h4>\n

On his arrival at Mamligh, Chief Minister Sukhu received a grand welcome from local residents and public representatives. Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. (Col) Dhani Ram Shandil lauded the Chief Minister\u2019s leadership and his commitment to improving education and healthcare in the state.<\/p>\n

He also thanked him for laying the foundation stone of the Rajiv Gandhi Model Day Boarding School at Mamligh, which he said would be a \u201cmilestone in rural education.\u201d<\/p>\n

Among those present were MLAs Ram Kumar Chaudhary, Sanjay Awasthi, and Suresh Kumar, Jogindra Bank Chairman Mukesh Sharma, Congress leaders Shiv Kumar, Rahul Thakur, Jatin Sahni, and Col.
