Former minister and senior BJP leader <strong>Govind Singh Thakur<\/strong> hailed this initiative as a reflection of Prime Minister <strong>Narendra Modi\u2019s<\/strong> and Union Health Minister <strong>J.P. Nadda\u2019s<\/strong> visionary and people-centric approach.<\/p>\n<p>According to Thakur, the decision will give new momentum, modern technology, and greater strength to the state\u2019s healthcare network, benefitting thousands of families. Out of the total amount, Rs. <strong>600 crore<\/strong> will be utilized to provide <strong>modern equipment to IGMC Shimla and other health institutions<\/strong> across the state. Additionally, a <strong>Modern Cancer Institute<\/strong> will be established in <strong>Hamirpur<\/strong> at a cost of Rs. <strong>300 crore<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Each medical college\u2014IGMC Shimla, Tanda, Hamirpur, and Nerchowk\u2014will be equipped with <strong>Tesla MRI machines<\/strong>, while <strong>robotic surgery systems<\/strong> will be installed in the medical colleges of <strong>Chamba<\/strong> and <strong>Mandi<\/strong> districts.
