The Himachal Pradesh State Level Sub-Junior Under-15 and Under-17 Badminton Championship concluded successfully on Monday at the Town Hall in Mandi. The closing ceremony was graced by Raja Singh Malhotra, Vice President of the Himachal Pradesh Hockey Association, President of Soch Foundation, and a noted social worker, who presided over the event. Balwant Jhota attended as the Chief Guest.<\/p>\n

In the boys\u2019 Under-15 category, Ishaan Badhan<\/strong> from Hamirpur clinched the Himachal Champion title, while in the girls\u2019 category, Tashvi Gupta<\/strong> from Solan emerged victorious. In the boys\u2019 Under-17 singles, Shivansh Rana<\/strong> from Hamirpur took the top spot, while Garima Verma<\/strong> from Mandi claimed the title in the girls\u2019 Under-17 division.<\/p>\n

During the closing ceremony, Raja Singh Malhotra felicitated all winners and runners-up with trophies and announced a personal contribution of Rs. 51,000<\/strong> to the Mandi District Badminton Association. Chief Guest Balwant Jhota urged the youth to stay away from drugs and contributed Rs. 21,000<\/strong> from his discretionary fund to the association.<\/p>\n

The event was attended by Himachal Pradesh Badminton Association President Vijay Thakur<\/strong>, General Secretary Ramesh Thakur<\/strong>, Treasurer Sanjay Kalia<\/strong>, Vice Presidents Chandrashekhar Turki<\/strong>, Vishnu Dutt Modgil<\/strong>, Pankaj Sharma<\/strong>, Tournament Coordinator Balwant Singh Jhota<\/strong>, and Mandi District Association Secretary Datul Chauhan<\/strong>, among others including Jitendra Vaidya<\/strong>, Vidya Vidyasagar Sharma<\/strong>, P.R. Rana<\/strong>, R.K. Thakur<\/strong>, Lakhvinder Singh<\/strong>, Atul Sharma<\/strong>, Narendra Rana<\/strong>, Ratan Singh<\/strong>, Arun<\/strong>, and Rahul<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
