The NCC Air Wing and Army Wing Units of Vallabh Government College, Mandi, organized the \u201cMeri Maati Mera Desh\u201d programme with great enthusiasm. The series of events under this campaign were presided over by the Principal, Dr. Sanjeev Kumar.<\/p>\n

Speaking on the occasion, Principal Dr. Sanjeev Kumar said that \u201cMeri Maati Mera Desh\u201d campaign serves as a source of inspiration for every Indian, connecting us to our soil, culture, and the sacrifices of our freedom fighters. He added that the campaign truly reflects the spirit of \u201cJai Jawan, Jai Kisan\u201d.<\/p>\n

On this occasion, Flight Commander and Flying Officer Dr. Chaman of the NCC Air Wing, Mandi, stated that \u201cThe soil of our motherland is a symbol of our pride, honor, and glory.\u201d He further emphasized that respecting and conserving water, forests, and land is a sacred duty of every Indian citizen.<\/p>\n

Dr. Chaman highlighted that the soil of the motherland is not merely a fragment of the earth, but a symbol of our existence, culture, and dignity. He recalled that India\u2019s ancient universities\u2014Nalanda, Takshashila, Vikramshila, and Vallabhi\u2014enriched Indian knowledge traditions with universality, scientific temper, and compassionate humanity. Through education, these centers of learning embodied the humanistic, rational, and scientific vision of Tathagata Buddha, which laid the foundation for India\u2019s recognition as the Vishwaguru (World Teacher).<\/p>\n

He added that this sacred soil gives us life, nurtures our civilization, and bears witness to the sacrifices and valor of our ancestors. Within this soil resides the bravery of our heroes, the penance of great saints like Tathagata Buddha, Guru Nanak Dev, Sant Kabir, and Sant Ravidas, and the hard work of farmers. Therefore, this soil has become the true symbol of our national pride and identity.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen we bow to the soil of our land, we bow to our history, our traditions, and the glory of our nation,\u201d said Dr. Chaman. He also reminded everyone that wherever we may go, our roots and identity remain forever connected to our motherland.<\/p>\n

On this occasion, Dr. Kavita, Caretaker Officer of Himachal Pradesh Girls Battalion, Solan, presented a detailed report on the \u201cMeri Maati Mera Desh\u201d programme.<\/p>\n

To commemorate the occasion, NCC cadets participated enthusiastically in speech, PPT presentation, and poster presentation competitions based on the theme \u201cMeri Maati Mera Desh.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the poster presentation, Cadet Dhanlakshmi of the Himachal Pradesh Air Squadron NCC, Kullu, representing Vallabh Government College, Mandi, secured the first position. Cadets Khushboo and Kinjal bagged the second position, while Army Wing Cadet Smriti stood third.<\/p>\n

In the PPT presentation, Army Wing Cadet Kavita won the first position, Cadets Smriti and Ayushi secured the second position, and Cadets Kanika and Neelakshi jointly achieved the third position.<\/p>\n

The programme commenced with the NCC song \u201cHum Sab Bharatiya Hain\u201d, followed by the wreath-laying ceremony at the Martyr\u2019s Memorial established on the college campus to pay homage to the martyrs.<\/p>\n

The event witnessed the active participation of Flight Commander Flying Officer Dr. Chaman, Caretaker Officer Dr. Kavita, Dr. Balbir Singh, and hundreds of cadets from both the NCC Air Wing and Army Wing.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
