{"id":7644,"date":"2025-11-12T17:41:29","date_gmt":"2025-11-12T17:41:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/theeaglenews.co.in\/?p=7644"},"modified":"2025-11-12T17:41:29","modified_gmt":"2025-11-12T17:41:29","slug":"transfer-of-41-doctors-from-nerchowk-medical-college-sparks-political-outcry-in-mandi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theeaglenews.co.in\/?p=7644","title":{"rendered":"Transfer of 41 Doctors from Nerchowk Medical College Sparks Political Outcry in Mandi.\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><h1><strong>Transfer of 41 Doctors from Nerchowk Medical College Sparks Political Outcry in Mandi.\u00a0<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Shimla:<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Himachal Pradesh government\u2019s decision to transfer <strong>41 doctors<\/strong> from <em>Lal Bahadur Shastri Government Medical College, Nerchowk<\/em> has ignited strong political reactions in Mandi district. <strong>Balh MLA Inder Singh Gandhi<\/strong> accused Chief Minister <strong>Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu<\/strong> of harboring an \u201canti-Mandi and anti-Balh mindset,\u201d calling the move a deliberate attempt to weaken the region\u2019s key medical institution.<\/p>\n<p>Gandhi said the decision was a direct injustice to Balh\u2019s people and a blow to health services across the district. He alleged that while the Chief Minister publicly promises non-discrimination, his actions consistently prove otherwise. \u201cNerchowk Medical College is the backbone of Himachal\u2019s healthcare system, and transferring 41 doctors at once is an attack on public health,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The BJP legislator further claimed that since the Congress came to power, Mandi has faced continuous neglect \u2014 from shifting colleges out of <em>Sardar Patel University<\/em> to halting local development projects.
