The event commenced with prayers and devotional recitations, where the Chief Minister paid obeisance at the historic Gurudwara.<\/p>\n<p>Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said that Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji epitomized the spirit of sacrifice, standing firmly for faith, truth and humanity. He emphasized that the Guru laid down his life not merely for Sikhism but in defence of the fundamental rights of people belonging to all religions and sects.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGuru Tegh Bahadur\u2019s unwavering courage against oppression continues to guide society even today,\u201d CM Sukhu stated. He added that the Guru\u2019s teachings remain a powerful reminder of the values of mutual respect, brotherhood and tolerance, which are essential for sustaining democratic and pluralistic ideals.<\/p>\n<p>Highlighting the contemporary relevance of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji\u2019s legacy, the Chief Minister said that at a time when the world seeks peace, harmony and social justice, the Guru\u2019s life serves as a beacon for unity in diversity.
