Bhuttico Cooperative Society celebrated its 81st Foundation Day with great enthusiasm and traditional fervour at the society\u2019s auditorium. The event witnessed a large gathering of officials, employees, and hundreds of weaver members, marking more than eight decades of the institution\u2019s rich legacy and contribution to the handloom sector.<\/p>\n

The programme began on a cultural note as weaver members of the society rendered traditional Kulluvi folk songs, creating a vibrant and musical atmosphere in the hall. The performances reflected the deep cultural roots and heritage associated with Bhuttico and its artisan community.<\/p>\n

On the occasion, Society Vice-President Rohit Thakur presented a detailed account of the society\u2019s journey, highlighting information about all the former Pradhans and Presidents from its inception to the present day. His address offered insight into the leadership that has shaped the organisation over the years.<\/p>\n

The chief guest for the event, Satya Prakash Thakur, President of the Society and former Horticulture Minister, addressed the gathering and shared the historical background of Bhuttico. He stated that the society was officially registered on 18 December 1944 with the Registrar of Cooperative Societies in Lahore, with just 12 founding members. From 1944 to 1956, the society largely remained confined to paper.<\/p>\n

He further recalled that a turning point came when the late Ved Ram Thakur assumed leadership. Under his guidance, the society never looked back. Due to his hard work, dedication, honesty, and visionary approach, Bhuttico achieved several milestones. He played a crucial role in establishing a residential colony for weavers within the society\u2019s premises and constructed weaving sheds to support their livelihood.<\/p>\n

The President also acknowledged that the society faced several financial challenges over the years. Despite these setbacks, Bhuttico continued to progress through strong leadership and effective management. He emphasised that maintaining high-quality standards in products has always been the society\u2019s priority, which has helped sustain customer trust and ensured fair pricing for its products.<\/p>\n

Extending heartfelt congratulations on the Foundation Day, Satya Prakash Thakur urged all members, officials, and employees to continue working with dedication, integrity, and commitment to ensure the society\u2019s continued growth and success.<\/p>\n

Prominent attendees included Vice-President Rohit Thakur, Directors Atma Ram, Indra Devi, Jogdhyan, former Him Bunkar Vice-President Brahm Swaroop Thakur, committee member Rajesh Thakur, Pradhan Khyal Chand, former Director Kalawati, Mani Ram, Mahender Singh, Chief General Manager Vijay Thakur, General Managers Surti Devi, Dinesh Thakur, Kavita Thakur, Neena Thakur, Veena Devi, Mahinder Singh, Surender Singh, Meer Chand, Teerth Ram, Shashi Thakur, Shalini Thakur, Roshan Negi, Manish, along with many other employees and hundreds of weavers.<\/p>\n
