He emphasized that medicines would be procured <strong>directly from manufacturers<\/strong>, eliminating intermediaries, so that world-class and reliable drugs are made available to patients in government hospitals and health centres throughout the state.<\/p>\n<p>Reiterating the government\u2019s commitment to public health, Shri Sukhu said that if required, amendments would also be made to the Drugs Act to safeguard public interest and ensure the supply of quality medicines to the people. \u201cThere will be no compromise on the quality of medicines provided in government health institutions,\u201d he asserted.<\/p>\n<p>The Chief Minister said that the present government was making continuous efforts to strengthen and reform the health sector, with several measures already being implemented to improve healthcare delivery. He underlined that quality medicines are a cornerstone of effective healthcare and that the government\u2019s goal was to provide world-class health facilities to the people within the state itself.<\/p>\n<p>He also directed the <strong>Himachal Pradesh State Civil Supplies Corporation<\/strong> to procure medicines for its <em>Jan Aushadhi<\/em> and other medicine outlets directly from pharmaceutical companies instead of authorized dealers, ensuring both quality and cost-effectiveness.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere is no shortage of funds with the State Government, but public money must be spent judiciously and exclusively in the interest and welfare of the people,\u201d the Chief Minister said.<\/p>\n<p>Health Secretary Priyanka Basu Ingty, Managing Director of H.P.
