{"id":8748,"date":"2026-01-21T04:33:26","date_gmt":"2026-01-21T04:33:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/theeaglenews.co.in\/?p=8748"},"modified":"2026-01-21T04:33:26","modified_gmt":"2026-01-21T04:33:26","slug":"cm-dedicates-development-projects-worth-rs-63-56-crore-to-manali-assembly-constituency","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theeaglenews.co.in\/?p=8748","title":{"rendered":"CM Dedicates Development Projects Worth Rs. 63.56 Crore to Manali Assembly Constituency.\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><h1><strong>CM Dedicates Development Projects Worth Rs. 63.56 Crore to Manali Assembly Constituency.\u00a0<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Manali:<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Tuesday dedicated development projects worth Rs. 63.56 crore to the Manali Assembly Constituency, marking a major push towards strengthening road connectivity, power infrastructure and public amenities in the region.<\/p>\n<p>During his tour of the constituency, the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stones of eight key projects aimed at improving infrastructure and enhancing the quality of life of the local population.<\/p>\n<p>The Chief Minister inaugurated the up-gradation works of the Nathna\u2013Jana road under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), completed at a cost of Rs. 10.69 crore. He also inaugurated the up-gradation works of the Manali\u2013Kanyal road, constructed at a cost of Rs. 5.04 crore, and the metalling and tarring works of the Bebli\u2013Jindaud road, completed at a cost of Rs. 13.19 crore. These road projects are expected to significantly improve connectivity to remote areas and ensure smoother and safer travel for residents and tourists alike.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone of a 33\/11 KV GIC power sub-station at Ibex Chowk, Manali, to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 13.52 crore. This project will strengthen the power supply system in the area and meet the growing electricity demand of Manali and adjoining regions.<\/p>\n<p>He also laid the foundation for the construction of a bridge over the Beas River at Rangdi, estimated to cost Rs. 15 crore. The bridge will provide improved connectivity and ease of movement for local residents. To address recurring natural challenges, foundation stones were laid for landslide control and prevention works at Rangdi and Batahar on the left bank of the Beas River, to be undertaken at a cost of Rs. 2.90 crore.<\/p>\n<p>Further, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for a hot water bath service facility at Kalath, to be developed at a cost of Rs. 1 crore, which is expected to boost tourism and provide better amenities to visitors. He also laid the foundation for the District Panchayat Resource Centre at Bashing in Kullu district, to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 2.22 crore, aimed at strengthening institutional support and capacity building for Panchayati Raj institutions.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister reiterated the state government\u2019s commitment to balanced and inclusive development, stating that focused investment in infrastructure was essential for the socio-economic growth of hill areas.
