Inspired by the anti-drug campaign led by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, the District Mandi unit of National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) organized a grand \u201cAnti-Chitta Kabaddi Cup\u201d at Vallabh Government College under its district-level \u201cChitta Mukt Campus\u201d initiative. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from around ten teams, collectively delivering a strong message in support of a drug-free society.<\/p>\n

Grand Inauguration Ceremony<\/h3>\n

The inaugural ceremony was graced by Shashi Sharma, Vice Chairman of the State Water Management Board, as the Chief Guest. Addressing the players and attendees, he lauded the state government\u2019s anti-drug initiative under the leadership of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, calling it a historic step toward securing the future of the youth.<\/p>\n

He emphasized that sports activities serve as a powerful medium to steer young people away from social evils like drug abuse. According to him, such tournaments not only promote physical fitness and discipline but also spread a positive social message across communities.<\/p>\n

Thrilling Final Match<\/h3>\n

The final match of the tournament turned out to be an intense and thrilling contest between Pandoh and AFG Academy. Players from both sides displayed exceptional discipline, teamwork, and sporting spirit. After a closely fought battle, AFG Academy Mandi emerged victorious, claiming the championship title.<\/p>\n

Closing Ceremony and Key Address<\/h3>\n

The closing ceremony was attended by former State Secretary of the Congress Party, Jagdish Reddy, as the Chief Guest. In his address, he stated that the Anti-Chitta campaign initiated by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu is not merely a government program but a people\u2019s movement aimed at safeguarding society from the menace of drugs.<\/p>\n

He urged the youth to actively participate in the campaign and spread awareness in their surroundings to strengthen the mission of building a drug-free Himachal Pradesh.<\/p>\n

NSUI\u2019s Commitment to Drug-Free Himachal<\/h3>\n

NSUI District President Anit Jaswal highlighted that the primary objective of the \u201cChitta Mukt Campus\u201d campaign is to educate students about the harmful effects of drug abuse, engage them in sports and constructive activities, and contribute to building a healthy and empowered society. He further affirmed that NSUI Mandi will continue organizing awareness programs in alignment with the vision of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu to create a drug-free Himachal.<\/p>\n

Prize Distribution<\/h3>\n

At the conclusion of the event, the winner and runner-up teams were honored. The winning team, AFG Academy Mandi, received a cash prize of Rs. 6,100 along with a trophy, while the runner-up team was awarded Rs. 4,100 and a trophy. All participating players were extended best wishes for their bright future.<\/p>\n
